Tara Dublin Joins HillReporter Staff

She’s blocked by Donald Trump and his three main adult children (along with “celebrity” Trumpers Scott Baio, Dean Cain, Mike Flynn, Dan Bongino, Roseanne Barr, Tomi Lahren, and more). She’s interviewed political and musical luminaries from Nancy Pelosi and Molly Jong-Fast to Ben Folds and Billy Corgan. She’s amassed an amazing Twitter following (@taradublinrocks) and she’s the voice of the Impeachment Task Force.

And now Tara Dublin joins Hill Reporter as a contributing writer, and we’re delighted to have her.

Tara Dublin

Tara is known for her unique political perspective and quick wit. She created the #LeningradLindsey phenomenon, and often helps drive other trends to the top; you can also expect her to jump Jim Jordan’s shit anytime he tweets, and bless her for it. But this also means she has to ruefully own the #HottieAvenatti one as well. (“Hey, I have a habit of choosing the wrong men!” she laughs in defense)

Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised near the New Jersey shore in a town called Hazlet, Tara is now living just outside of Portland, Oregon. From 2004 – 2009, she was the popular midday DJ on KNRK-FM and has openly shared her financial and personal struggles since her layoff. In the subsequent years, she found part-time work as an extra on such Portland-filmed TV series as “Portlandia”, “Leverage”, “The Birch”, “Shrill”, and most famously, “Grimm”, where she was a featured background detective often seen at her desk behind the two main leads. Tara also played a fictional version of herself in the webseries “The Screenprinters”, which gained a small cult following, but sadly only had one season. Her extensive voiceover clients include Nike, Forkfly, and the NW Natural Parade of Homes.

As a writer, Tara has contributed to the Huffington Post, Jewcy.com, National Lampoon, The Oregonian, Oregon Music News, and the now-defunct XOJane.com. In 2018, she made her professional publishing debut in “Nasty!”, an all-female anthology that fully benefited Planned Parenthood. Still waiting for her big break, Tara was still working in the service industry  as recently as March, but lost that job thanks to the quarantine. She’s been staying sane-ish by watching HGTV when she’s not tweeting, and also by writing a whole book, a fictitious rock and love story very loosely based on her encounters with Dave Grohl  that she’s ready to shop to publishers. We like to say she’s an untapped goldmine, and we know she’ll probably be snapped up by an agent and get a sweet book deal any day now, but we’re happy to have her.

At HillReporter, we are committed to bringing you the best in breaking political news, commentary, and the events that concern our readers the most. Bringing Tara Dublin on board is one of the luckiest things to happen to HR in a while. I’m thrilled beyond words to bring Tara’s unique perspective to our site. While she’ll be covering news stories daily, she’ll also be writing features and conducting interviews. Podcasts may be also in the future, as HillReporter prepares for the November election cycle. Stay tuned, and be sure to follow Tara on Twitter at @taradublinrocks.

Welcome, Tara! -BDG
