Sully Sullenberger Destroys Trump Over his “Vulgar Contempt” for the Military
Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger spent 7 years of his life serving the the US Air Force. He later put the skill learned their to good use, famously landing an Airbus A320 on New York’s Hudson River. That maneuver saved the lives of all 155 passengers aboard the plane.

The famous pilot has also made it known that he’s no fan of the current administration. In January, he blasted Lara Trump for mocking Joe Biden’s stutter. That was nothing, however, compared to Sullenberger’s recent take-down of Donald Trump.
Sullenberger, like many Americans, was disgusted by reported claims made by the President about the United States military. He took to Twitter to blast Trump.
The pilot began a lengthy tweet-storm, “I am a veteran. I volunteered for military service during wartime. So did my father. His generation saved the world from fascism.”

Sullenberger later continued, “For the first time in American history, a president has repeatedly shown utter and vulgar contempt and disrespect for those who have served and died serving our country. While I am not surprised, I am disgusted by the current occupant of the Oval Office. He has repeatedly and consistently shown himself to be completely unfit for and to have no respect for the office he holds.”

The former Air Force Captain closed his remarks, saying, “We owe it not only to those who have served and sacrificed for our nation, but to ourselves and to succeeding generations to vote him out.”
Sullenberger included a link to the Jeffrey Goodman Atlantic piece that began the controversy.
