Meghan McCain left The View last summer. The show was a major platform and you hear much less about her since the departure. She wanted to change that recently by releasing a book titled Bad Republican. The problem for the daughter of John McCain’s daughter, though, is that no one seems to be interested in what she has to say.
This weekend, the Washington Examiner revealed that McCain’s book has sold fewer than 300 copies. In a Saturday Twitter storm, Steve Schmidt explained why McCain’s book was a failure.
Schmidt who served as a strategist during John McCain’s 2008 campaign, wrote:
“When I kicked [Meghan McCain] off of the 2008 McCain plane, because of her outrageous behavior, I talked to her mom and explained what was happening and why. Cindy got weepy and said ‘I just want to say I raised two good sons’ I said ‘everyone knows you did.’ My daughter was three at the time and I made a promise to myself that I would make sure that my number one priority in life would be raising a child that never acted like [Meghan McCain], a spoiled rotten, entitled bully.”
I can explain this. When I kicked @MeghanMcCain off of the 2008 McCain plane, because of her outrageous behavior, I talked to her mom and explained what was happening and why. Cindy got weepy and said “I just want to say I raised two good sons” I said “everyone knows you did” https://t.co/C8gk4pff8XSee Also
