Steve Bannon's Daughter Rips Mike Johnson For Not Helping Her Dad More

Maureen Bannon, the daughter of MAGA figure Steve Bannon, said that her father will likely be serving his full sentence and knocked Speaker Mike Johnson for not doing more to help him.

Steve Bannon was an important surrogate for Donald Trump in 2016, helping the Republican land the presidency. While Bannon was given a job in the administration, he was fired soon after.

The pundit doesn't seem to have any hard feelings when it comes to Trump and risked jail by ignoring multiple subpoenas from Congress. It was clear that Bannon was hoping someone would come in and save him, but that didn't come to pass.

Daughter Maureen Bannon said on Real America's Voice on Monday, "So you know, a few weeks ago, actually on July 22nd, Congress submitted another amicus brief, and we're waiting for the results of that amicus brief at this point. His case is still pending appeal through the legal channels."

The GOP strategist's daughter continued, "However, at this point, it looks like he will be serving the full four-month sentence and get released right before the election. However, you know, once, once we find out more about this amicus brief that Congress submitted, I'll be able to come back on and provide an update."

Turning to Johnson, Bannon claimed:

"I know that 'Just the News' with John Solomon and Amanda Head, they were actually the ones that broke that story because Speaker Mike Johnson didn't push out that he had filed or that Congress had filed another amicus brief. They had filed one previously prior to my dad reporting to Danbury correctional facility on one July. However, no one pushed that this amicus brief had been filed [at] the end of July."
