Stephanie Grisham, Who Never Held a Presser, Is no Longer White House Press Secretary
In her term as White House Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders became known not only to political junkies, but to the general public as well. The combative Sanders, who often had issues with the truth, was even lampooned on Saturday Night Live.
Sanders’ replacement, Stephanie Grisham, was much lesser known than her predecessor. And now, after never holding one press conference in her role, Grisham has now left the job.
The news was broken via CNN’s Jim Sciutto, who tweeted, “Breaking: Stephanie Grisham is out as WH press secretary. She is leaving the job without ever having briefed the press.”

Grisham had a meteoric rise to the position. She was once a PR person in Arizona and worked her way up to working alongside First Lady Melania Trump. She then replaced Huckabee Sanders last summer.
The former Press Secretary seemed to be proud of her refusal to meet with the press, though she often appeared on Conservative news channels.
In August of 2019, she explained why she had never actually done the job she was hired to do. “You’re hearing from me right now,” she told Eric Bolling of the Sinclair Broadcast Group. “But the president also ― he’s so accessible. Right now, I think that that’s good enough.”
