Seth Meyers Blasts Trump for Meeting With My Pillow Guy Instead of Doctors

In early November, Donald Trump lost his reelection bid to Joe Biden. There were, of course, still two months until Biden took office, but Trump essentially stopped doing his job then.

The COVID-19 pandemic is still raging across the country with daily deaths regularly hitting 4,000. The President has ignored the coronavirus, though, choosing to focus his efforts on overturning the election. During his Monday night broadcast, Seth Meyers ripped Trump for meeting with people like Mike Lindell rather than doctors.

The NBC host began by mocking Trump’s expected Tuesday pardons. “President Trump tomorrow is reportedly planning to issue at least 100 pardons and commutations,” he said. “He said he wanted to give so many so that it would be even more hilarious when [Rudy] Giuliani doesn’t get one.”

Meyers then hit on Trump’s strange friendship with Lindell:

“Hmmm, guy with a five-point plan to build the infrastructure for mass vaccination during a deadly pandemic, or a guy whose best friend is obviously a psychotic pillow salesman ― it’s a coin flip! This situation is so perfectly indicative of the Trump era. Instead of saying, ‘No, get out,’ they all go to absurd lengths to debase themselves to accommodate Trump and a circle of crazy old men with mysteriously brown hair.”
