Seth MacFarlane: I May Have to Take Family Guy Off Fox Due to Tucker Carlson

Back before Fox News ever existed, Fox was an upstart network trying to challenge ABC, NBC and CBS. Thanks to shows like The Simpsons and Married With Children, the network became successful. Soon after came Family Guy, a show created by Seth MacFarlane.

Family Guy has been a wild success for Fox airing over 360 episodes. The creator, though, is getting quite tired of the stories that appear on Fox News. In a Sunday tweet, he mocking threatened to leave the network over host Tucker Carlson.

MacFarlane tweeted, “Tucker Carlson’s latest opinion piece once again makes me wish Family Guy was on any other network. Look, Fox, we both know this marriage isn’t working anymore. The sex is only once a year, I don’t get along with your mother, and well… I’ve been having an affair with NBC.”

This isn’t the first time the creator has slammed the network. MacFarlane took issue in 2018 when Carlson said, “If you’re looking to understand what’s actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they’re telling you on the big news stations.”

Responding to those comments, MacFarlane tweeted, “In other words, don’t think critically, don’t consult multiple news sources, and in general, don’t use your brain. Just blindly obey Fox News. This is fringe sh-t, and it’s business like this that makes me embarrassed to work for this company.”
