Democratic Senate nominee Zak Ringelstein is being arrested for attempting to deliver toys, books, water, and blankets to one of Donald Trump’s children internment camps in Texas.
On Friday morning Zak’s campaign sent out a tweet to announce his arrest.

His campaign then issued a statement regarding the arrest:
“At this time, the specific charges are not known. There has been no communication from Ringelstein since his arrest about 9:30a am EST.”
The statement included a Facebook video that shows Ringelstein talking to officers before being arrested.
Ringelstein is currently being held in Texas on suspicion of criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor that carries a possible punishment of up to six months in county jail and a $2,000 fine, according to a recent tweet.
