In his four years as the United States president, Donald Trump broke every norm the country has ever had. His behavior was so egregious, in fact, that it seems like Republicans have forgotten about it.

That was clear today when Congressman Jim Banks asked if any President ever treated the press as poorly as Joe Biden. Trump, of course, attempted to ban Jim Acosta from press briefings. Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also shared a doctored video of a staffer attempting to take a microphone out of Acosta’s hands.
Today, Peter Doocy was concerned about Secretary of State Anthony Blinken using Twitter to share a hashtag in solidarity with Ukraine. The Fox reporter asked, “Has that ever worked in stopping an authoritarian regime from doing anything, a hashtag?”
Psaki responded, “I will have to say that, unlike the last administration, we don’t think Twitter is the only means of engaging or negotiating or discussing important topics. But it is important for us to convey to the Ukrainian people who do view commentary through a range of forums.”
