Sean Spicer is no stranger to humiliation. On his first day as press secretary, Donald Trump forced him to claim that the 45th president’s inauguration crowd was more extensive than Barack Obama’s. Spicer further embarrassed himself on Dancing With the Stars following his stint as press secretary.

To no one’s surprise, Spicer is still doing embarrassing things. He recently wrote a tweet complaining about the changing science of COVID-19 and was widely mocked.
In a ratioed tweet, Spicer wrote, “I’d hate to be an elementary school science teacher these days and to explain how quick ‘science’ changes.”
A user named Hugh G. Merriman explained, “t’s “quickly” mister ex-press secretary. It’s called the scientific method. When there is new information, the working theories are updated to represent updated facts. Nobody is lying, no one is trying to pull a fast one. The model is changed when new information is found.”

Another user, flake superior, had a more humorous take, writing, “1) look at the device you’re posting on Twitter with 2) ask yourself if that device existed five years ago 3) contemplate on how scientific knowledge is *constantly* expanding 4) eat your phone.”
