Sean Hannity Suggests Trump Keeps Government Shut Down Though End of January
We’ve all seen President Trump take the bait from media personalities such as Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter in the past. Now it appears as though Fox News’ Sean Hannity is trying to give Trump some advice of his own.
On Friday night’s Opening Monolgue on Fox News’ ‘Hannity’, Sean Hannity took time to take aim at Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats while also continuing to push for Trump’s border wall. Even though the majority of illegal drugs are brought across the southern border through legal ports of entry, and a wall would have no way of alleviating this problem, Hannity continues to push for Trump’s wall and the idea that it would somehow greatly curtail the smuggling of illegal drugs into America.
In going off on Democrats for refusing to fund the wall, Hannity suggested that Trump keeps the government shutdown going though the end of January.
“My humble advice is the shutdown, as much as an inconvenience some people that work for the government and I hope they get their back pay, it needs to continue straight through the State of the Union and maybe beyond,” Hannity said.
“The State of the Union, the president, he can take his case directly to you, we the people. And while the president should support back pay for those furloughed employees, make no mistake ― no matter what the president does, he must hold firm on this border wall funding from Congress.”
It will be interesting to see if Trump heeds Hannity’s advice.
