Sean Hannity: Mick Mulvaney is Just Really Dumb
White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney held a press conference on Thursday where he dropped bombshell after bombshell. He first told the press that discussing climate change will not be on the agenda at the next G-7 conference. The former South Carolina congressman then announced that the 2020 G-7 will be held at Trump’s Doral, Florida golf club.
But the most striking moment in the presser was when Mulvaney said that funds to Ukraine were held up until the country investigated Joe Biden. Fox News host Sean Hannity went off on Mulvaney, calling him among other things, an idiot.
Mulvaney told the press that withholding the money from Ukraine was not unusual. “I have news for everybody: Get over it,” said the Chief of Staff. “There’s going to be political influence in foreign policy. That is going to happen. Elections have consequences.”
A befuddled Hannity asked on his radio show, “What is Mulvaney even talking about? I just think he’s dumb. I really do. I don’t even think he knows what he’s talking about. That’s my take on it.”
The Fox News then said that it was clear from the “transcript” that Trump had done nothing wrong while speaking with Volodmyr Zelensky. He continued, “We don’t need a non-whistleblower whistleblower. You don’t need a chief of staff’s idiotic interpretation of things, when the president and the president of Ukraine and everybody else can read it all themselves. That’s what’s amazing.”
Later in the day, Mulvaney tried to walk back his comments. He said in a statement, “Once again, the media has decided to misconstrue my comments to advance a biased and political witch hunt against President Trump.”
