This has been a busy week of news for President Donald Trump’s former White House Press Secretaries. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Sean Spicer will be appearing on the latest season of Dancing With the Stars. Critics of the announcement accused ABC of helping Spicer “whitewash” his previous deeds.

Trump’s other former Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, has largely been quiet since leaving the White House in July. She has now resurfaced, though, as Fox News announced that she will be joining the network as a contributor.
In a press release, Fox News wrote, “[Sanders] will provide political commentary and analysis across all of FOX News Media, including FOX News Channel, FOX Business Network, FOX News Digital, FOX Nation and the radio/podcast division.” The former Press Secretary will make her debut with the network September 6th on Fox & Friends.
New York Magazine writer Yashar Ali tweeted about the announcement and wondered by this affects her political future. “Unclear what this means for a possible run for Governor of Arkansas,” he wrote. “But 2022 is long way off. Sarah Huckabee Sanders could feasibly stay with Fox News for two years and then run for Governor.”

When she originally left her spot in the White House many wondered if Sanders would attempt to follow in her Father’s footsteps and run for governor in Arkansas. One fan of the idea was her former boss, Donald Trump. The President had said, “If we can get her to run for the governor of Arkansas, I’m trying to get her to do that.”
