Rush Limbaugh has no problem pushing conspiracy theories. In the last year alone he’s promoted false stories about children being immune to COVID-19 and the actual cause for California wildfires. So one would think he would be on board with some of the ideas pushed by Donald Trump’s lawyers during last week’s press conference.
Like many others in Conservative media, though, the radio host felt that the “elite strike force” may have gone a little bit too far. During his Monday morning show, Limbaugh ripped Rudy Giuliani and the other lawyers for over-promising and under-delivering.
The radio host first questioned the strategy of saying Sidney Powell wasn’t part of the legal team. “It’s a tough thing to deny she was ever a part of it because they introduced her as part of it,” he said. “She was at that press conference last week.”
“You call a gigantic press conference like that — one that lasts an hour — and you announce massive bombshells, then you better have some bombshells. There better be something at that press conference other than what we got…I talked to so many people who were blown away by it, by the very nature of the press conference. They promised blockbuster stuff and then nothing happened, and that’s just, it’s not good.”
The host concluded, “If you’re gonna do a press conference like that with the promise of blockbusters, then there has to be something more than what that press conference delivered.”
