Rudy Giuliani Says He Was Raided Because Of Hunter Biden

Rudy Giuliani’s home and office were the subject of an FBI raid last week. Agents reportedly showed up with a warrant, and removed electronic devices from the premises. The raid was reportedly connected to Giuliani’s business dealings in Ukraine, and there’s speculation that it will lead to trouble for Donald Trump.

Giuliani, by sharp contrast, thinks it’s really all about Hunter Biden, the president’s son.

President Joe Biden says he didn’t know the raid was coming, and he vowed before ever taking office to stay all the way out of any investigations and criminal charges against his predecessor, Donald Trump, and Trump’s associates.

Still, even in the days immediately after the raid, Giuliani complained that the electronics confiscated excluded the hard drive he claims belongs to Hunter Biden, which he claims to have received through convoluted means that are far outside any confirmable chain of evidence.

Now he’s retweeting a Fox News interview with himself, and opinions from Newsmax hosts, all of which center on a persecution complex and the claim that he’s being ‘framed.’ In fact, he echoes a claim that the FBI is just trying to find out how much ‘dirt’ the former mayor found on Hunter Biden.

As seen in the tweet above, Giuliani seems to be perturbed that his privilege and position didn’t save him from criminal investigation, or at least get him a heads up. “A person who has been a former assistant U.S. attorney, a U.S. attorney, a mayor, the associate attorney general, usually they receive a subpoena — not have their home raided,” he complains — expressing no problem with the idea of others being raided in the same manner. He’s only complaining that it happened to him.

He also retweeted this assertion from Newsmax host John Cardillo:

“DOJ’s harassment of [Rudy Giuliani] has nothing to do with FARA and everything to do with seeing how much dirt Rudy dug up on Hunter and Joe Biden in Ukraine.

This is about fear, not justice.”

In fact, according to the New York Times, the investigation has been running for quite some time, and centers on the firing of a U.S. ambassador in 2019. In other words, this was underway before Biden took office — and is all about Giuliani’s actions.
