We’ve already told you how right-wing preacher of hate Jerry Fallwell Jr. intends on breaking the rules by reopening classes at Liberty University, endangering the lives of students and faculty.
Not looking to be outdone in the selfish christofascist department, failed Republican Alabama Senate Candidate and twice-removed former Alabama state Supreme Court chief justice Roy Moore is urging pastors to disregard social distancing rules and assemble their churches.
“I am writing a letter to pastors on the duty to continue church assemblies, even in the midst of these trying times,” Moore said. “Our faith requires it, our duty demands it, and no law or government can prohibit it.”
Maybe some church needs to get its tax-exempt status removed, perhaps?
“When 10 people can’t assemble in church or business then healthy people are being quarantined, our Constitution & faith in God is under attack, & Tyranny triumphs when fear reigns.” tweeted Moore

It should be noted that Moore is a right-wing nutjob who’s famed for defying federal court orders on church-state and LGBTQ-equality issues. Many religious-right leaders rallied unsuccessfully to save his 2017 Senate election bid after he was accused of sexual misconduct with minors when he was in his 30s.
He’s a social pariah and has no clout whatsoever, but that certainly never stops these right-wing lunatics from making Jesus weep uncontrollably in his tomb.
