“Rona Rudy” Returns to White House A Day After Holiday Partiers Show Off Maskless Selfies
The White House has been a coronavirus hotspot ever since the Rose Garden event for then-SCOTUS nominee Amy Coney Barrett. Because they refused to do any contact tracing, it most likely will never be known just how many attendees were infected with the virus, or how many others they spread it to upon returning to their communities. But since a virus doesn’t care how important your job might be, even the Secretary of State is in quarantine after being exposed. And the wife of Alex Azar, who is heading the HHS for the remaining weeks of the Trump administration, has also recently tested positive.
But it’s the holiday season, and despite the fact that people can still shed COVID19 after overcoming it, the parties have continued. Maskless White House partiers shared photos of themselves on social media, including Kid Rock, Ivanka Trump, and Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who brought her toddler daughter despite recently having the virus herself.
Even as the head of White House security is struggling to pay off his medical bills after a serious case of COVID19 led to part of his leg and foot being amputated, those close to Donald Trump continue to act like it’s long since past. Rudy Giuliani has only recently recovered from his own bout with the virus after he had traveled around the country fighting the election results and most likely infecting hundreds of people. Giuliani received the same aggressive and expensive course of treatment Donald Trump received that most Americans could never afford, and used the opportunity to diminish the deadly virus as he has been doing all along.
Late reports Friday indicated that Giuliani was back at the White House for reasons not given to the press, although as Trump faces the reality of leaving the Oval Office for good in January and remains in seclusion, it’s possible Trump summoned his personal lawyer to discuss possible pardons for his adult children, members of his staff, and most likely Giuliani himself.
