Roger Stone Will be Hitting the Campaign Trail for Donald Trump

Roger Stone was set to report to prison this month to serve out his 40 month sentence for lying to the FBI. The self proclaimed Dirty Trickster, however, got a last minute reprieve from Donald Trump and is now a free man.

The commutation from the President drew massive criticism from both sides of the political aisle. GOP Senator Mitt Romney referred to Trump’s move as historic, unprecedented corruption. Regardless, Stone will not be going to prison and says he is now focused on helping Trump get reelected in 2020.

Stone will first attempt to monetize his experience. He told Axios, “First, I’m going to write a book about this entire ordeal to, once and for all, put to bed the myth of Russian collusion.”

Following that, the former Trump adviser will turn to aiding the President’s flailing campaign. He continued, “I will do anything necessary to elect my candidate, short of breaking the law.”

The former adviser also said that he thinks Trump, despite some hardships, will win in 2020. “It’ll be a very tough fight,” Stone said. “He’s got three obstacles: voter fraud … internet censorship, which I have just recently experienced myself; and, of course, the constant falsehoods being pushed by the corporate-owned mainstream media. Those all make it a difficult race. But he is a great campaigner. He’s a great communicator.”
