Right-Wing Christian Pastor Says ‘Cowboys’ Will ‘Hunt’ Pro-Impeachment People Down If Trump’s Removed From Office

A right-wing pastor based out of Florida took to his own radio program earlier this week to give a grave and stark warning to those in support of impeaching President Donald Trump: do so at your own peril.

Pastor Rick Wiles, a nondenominational pastor at Flowing Streams Church in Vero Beach, Florida, is also a recognized political pundit with far-right leanings. In June of 2018, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, he theorized that liberals would “carry out targeted killings of Republicans” in preparation for an impending civil war.

This week, however, Wiles suggested that it would be conservatives who would issue out violent attacks against liberals if the impeachment of Trump was successful.

Speaking on his TruNews radio program on Tuesday, Wiles was curt with his premonition. “If they take him out, there’s going to be violence in America. That’s all there is to it,” he said, according to reporting from Newsweek.

He elaborated on his point in further comments:

“However he leaves, there’s going to be violence in America, and I believe there are people in this country — veterans, there are cowboys, mountain men — I mean guys that know how to fight,” Wiles said. “And they’re going to make a decision that the people that did this to Donald Trump are not going to get away with it. And they’re going to hunt them down.”

Wiles’s comments have not been consistent from president-to-president. For example, he once described former President Barack Obama as a “demon from hell.”

The pastor is not the only Trump-supporter who expressed violent tendencies this week. According to the Washington Post, a Major League Baseball umpire named Rob Drake also said that he was planning to buy a weapon soon in order to prepare for an impending civil war.

“I will be buying an AR-15 tomorrow, because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL WAR!!! #MAGA2020,” he wrote.

Drake deleted the tweet and wrote a different one in its place, questioning the validity of an impeachment inquiry “from the basement of Capital [sic] Hill.” MLB said it’s investigating the matter further.
