Republican Strategist Says J.D. Vance May Not be Re-Electable in Ohio

During an MSNBC segment on Monday, Republican strategist Susan Del Percio explained why J.D. Vance may not have a political future in Ohio.

Vance is the first Senator in recent memory to create a crisis in the state they are responsible for by spreading conspiracy theories. And even after there were threats made against the town of Springfield, Ohio, Vance has refused to back down from his claims about Haitian migrants.

The Ohio lawmaker has not been in politics very long, the Senate seat he currently holds is actually his first elected position. But Del Percio says he may not have a future in Ohio after the way he's handled things in Springfield.

The strategist explained on Monday, "He is the U.S. senator representing the state of Ohio! He should be seeking to protect the people of his state. Securing extra funding, if that is what is needed to handle the increase in immigration. Legal immigration, when it comes to the Haitians in Springfield."

Del Percio continued by saying:

"You know, a constituent can call an office and say there are little green men wandering outside. It doesn't mean it gets repeated as truth. [He has shown] the people of Ohio and the people of this country that he is a sellout. He is just looking to promote a Trump  agenda and he doesn't care if it's true or not. And frankly, after I believe Trump and Vance lose, I think he will have a heck of a time with re-election."
