Republican Mayor From Key Battleground State Disavows Trump
#NeverTrump Republicans, a small but selective group of Republicans bogged down by that whole conscience thing, just found themselves a new recruit, in the Republican mayor of the large city of Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Michael Taylor, the mayor of a city situated in a county that went from Obama in 2012 to Trump in 2016, joined the rest of us with more than two functioning brain cells and realized that Trump is an incurable cancer that must be stopped. Despite supporting Trump in 2016, Taylor announced that he will be supporting Joe Biden in today’s Michigan primary, which reportedly is the first he’s ever got behind a Democrat in a state with an open primary.
“How could I look at those three kids and tell them I’m proud to support Donald Trump? I can’t. I won’t. I’m voting for @JoeBiden tomorrow and endorsing him for President of the United States. I hope you’ll join me,” Taylor said in a tweet announcing his decision.
“I think Joe Biden is the candidate who can unify all of the Democrats, and he’s the candidate who can appeal to moderates and Republicans like me who don’t want to see four more years of President Trump.”

You may disagree with the mayor’s reasoning, especially if you want major policy changes and healthcare reforms, but you still have to give him props for breaking away from the cult and showing that the party actually may still have a backbone.
It might be small and you have to look far and wide to find it, but such people are out there, and it should terrify Trump.
