Republican Linked To White Supremacy Now Faces Bigfoot Porn Accusations

2018 strikes again: A Republican candidate for the U.S. House in Virginia is facing accusations of having a fetish for erotica featuring Bigfoot.

Denver Riggleman, who is running to replace retiring GOPer Tom Garrett for Virginia’s 5th District House seat, is a “devotee of Bigfoot erotica,” according to his Democratic opponent, Leslie Cockburn.

Cockburn tweeted images posted to Riggleman’s Instagram which show graphic drawings of a naked Bigfoot, including one with Riggleman’s head superimposed over the legendary ape’s.

“I hide nothing in this magnificent tome,” Riggleman wrote in a caption underneath the chiseled primate of lore. “Don’t erase the censor box…”

“My ‘buddies’ thought this pic was fitting for my birthday next week,” read another caption, “and to celebrate my new book release in about a month or 2… ‘Mating Habits of Bigfoot and Why Women Want Him.'”

Riggleman’s Instagram posts reference a book, Mating Habits of Bigfoot and Why Women Want Him, which the congressional hopeful is rumored to have authored.

Cook Political Report said: “the most curious element of Riggleman’s background may be a recently-deleted Facebook author page appearing to promote a self-published book titled “The Mating Habits of Bigfoot and Why Women Want Him.” The report added that Riggleman’s private profile “was once peppered with images of what can only be described as Bigfoot-themed erotic art.”

HuffPost revealed Riggleman wrote another book, Bigfoot Exterminators Inc.: The Partially Cautionary, Mostly True Tale of Monster Hunt 2006, though it is allegedly not erotic in nature.

Riggleman responded to Cockburn’s tweets, telling The Daily Progress the Bigfoot images were a joke played on him by his military friends and that Cockburn’s attacks are “absurd.”

Cockburn has accused Riggleman of associating with White Supremacists. Riggleman endorsed Paul Nehlen, a Wisconsin Republican running for Congress who has shared antisemitic and white nationalist opinions.

“Leslie has been traveling throughout the district meeting with real people about real issues that matter to them,” Cockburn’s campaign manager Louise Bruce has said. “Meanwhile, Mr. Riggleman is home scrubbing his social media of ‘Bigfoot erotica’ and who knows what else.”
