Earlier this week, the President and First Lady visited El Paso and Dayton to meet with victims and mourners from the mass shootings in those cities. The White House produced a video montage of the visits, Trump was criticized for his behavior.
The President and First Lady have once again come under fire after Melania Trump shared a photo of the couple with a baby orphaned by the El Paso shooting. According to reports, the White House had requested that the baby be present while the Trumps were there.
The picture shared by Melania Trump features her holding the baby while the President smiles and gives a thumbs up. She came under fire shortly after posting the shot and reporters searched for the story behind the picture.
Reporter David Alandete said, “I interviewed the kid’s grandfather this afternoon and he confirmed that the White House sent two people to his home to ask him to be present during the visit. No one arranged for the photo beforehand but FLOTUS decided to hold the baby, who has a broken hand.”

The baby, who is named Paul, was the child of Jordan and Andre Anchondo. His Mother and Father were killed as they tried to shield baby Paul from the gunman.
The baby’s Uncle, Tito Anchondo, can also be seen in the picture with the President and the First Lady. According to the Uncle, his slain brother was a supporter of the President. He told reporters, “I think people are misconstruing President Trump’s ideas. My brother was very supportive of Trump.”
