Report: Turning Point USA is Weaponizing Christian Nationalist and Conspiracy Theories to Attract Young Voters

The Republican party has had issues attracting young voters for decades. The traditional picture of a Conservative voter in their early 20’s is an over-privileged College Republican wearing a Brooks Brothers blazer.

The GOP, though, knows that in order to be successful in future elections, they have to reach young people. And the best way, they believe to do so, is through Turning Point USA.

TPUSA, founded by Charlie Kirk and Bill Montgomery, has huge financial backing from numerous Republican backers. The group is all in on Trump and Kirk was a speaker at the most recent Republican National Convention. And as the Republican party has grown more Trumpy, so has TPUSA.

As Right-Wing Watches’ Kristen Doerer notes, the group utilizes Christian Nationalism and conspiracy theories to hook young voters. A huge upcoming conference for the group will feature not only Fox News personalities, bu people like Kayleigh McEnany and Candace Owens.

And TPUSA relies not only on Kirk’s controversy laden podcast, but people like Jack Posobiec as well. Posobiec, a prominent pusher of the Pizzagate conspiracy, recently tweeted, “Are you coming to Phoenix next week? Come hang out with me, Charlie, Tucker, Greg, Candace, Kayleigh, and many more.”
