Report: Trump Threatened to “Do a Number” on Kelly Loeffler if She Didn’t Back Election Challenge

With all the controversy this week, it’s easy to forget that there was an incredibly important special election in Georgia. Donald Trump even had a rally in the state on Monday. It didn’t work as Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock dispatched David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

And while Trump couldn’t help the GOP candidates win, he certainly could have hurt their chances. This is reportedly what Trump threatened to do to Loeffler if she didn’t back his ill-fated election fight.

According to Eliana Johnson from the Free Beacon, “He told Kelly Loeffler before he landed in Georgia for a final rally on Monday that if she didn’t back the Electoral College challenges, he would ‘do a number on her’ from the stage.”

Joining in with Trump did not help Loeffler in her race against Warnock, which she recently conceded. And she also changed her tune on contesting the results after the violence on Tuesday.

She said during a floor speech. “When I arrived in Washington this morning, I fully intended to object to the certification of the electoral votes. However, the events that have transpired today have forced me to reconsider and I cannot now in good conscience object to the certification of these electors.”
