Report: Trump Planned on Promoting Conway’s Book But Was Furious When He Saw What She Wrote

Few people have been more important to Donald Trump’s political career than Kellyanne Conway. While she started as an adviser to Ted Cruz, she pivoted during the 2016 Republican nomination process. And she stayed with Trump during his whole time in the White House.

Following the former President’s loss, Conway wanted to monetize her experience by writing a book. And while Trump was initially supportive, he changed his tune once he realized what was in the tome.

Zachary Petrizzo from the Daily Beast writes, “before he read the book, Trump was planning to send out a ‘positive’ and ‘glowing’ press release touting not only Conway but their long-standing relationship.Instead, Trump issued a stinging attack.”

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Kellyanne Conway never told me that she thought we lost the election. If she had, I wouldn’t have dealt with her any longer—she would have been wrong—could go back to her crazy husband.”

According to sources, though, the spat was short-lived and they are again friends. A source told the Daily Beast, “Kellyanne occupies unique and prime real estate in Donald Trump’s legacy and heart, and that’s why they’re in regular touch.”
