Donald Trump is eagerly awaiting his book deals. Presidential memoirs are a big business. Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama all received multi-million dollar advances for theirs.
The problem for Trump, however, is that no one really wants to work with him. During his time in business, the former president burned pretty much everyone in the business. Simon & Schuster head Jonathan Karp also noted that any memoirs by Trump were likely to be dishonest.
Jared Kushner, for some reason, had no problem securing a book deal. He will be writing for Broadside Books, a conservative imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. According to CNN, Trump is jealous of the agreement and worried that Kushner will take credit for his accomplishments.
A source told Kate Bennett and Gabby Orr that Trump is jealous of Kushner’s book deal, which they said is worth seven figures. The source continues, “He’s always been suspicious of Jared.”
Another source added, “It is not a secret President Trump doesn’t like when he thinks other people are getting attention for something he feels he has facilitated. There’s a sweet spot between saying nothing about work you did and saying too much that everyone has to find — or else he gets triggered.”
