Report: Trump Could Make Ivanka His Running Mate in 2024

Donald Trump was voted out of office in November of 2020. That does not mean, however, that we’ve heard the last of the former president and his brood. Lara Trump has already hinted that she will chase a North Carolina senate seat in 2022.

And the 45th president’s favorite child could be plotting a political future as well. Ivanka Trump was thought to be after Marco Rubio’s senate seat, but that has rumor has been shot down. She may, though, be seeking an even bigger job. According to reports, Donald Trump could make her his running mate in 2024.

Mike Pence, the last vice president, has shown that he’s willing to do anything to stay in Trump’s good graces. It is unlikely that Trump would select him again.

New York Magazine reports that Trump wants a female running mate as he’s incredibly unpopular with women voters. Ed Kilgore continues:

“Something to watch is whether Trump’s own family members, who, like the old man, tend to have happy feet, maintain voting residences in different states, thus avoiding the potential problem of two members of the same presidential ticket being disqualified from receiving their state’s electoral votes. There’s something very appropriate about a Trump-Trump ticket in 2024; there would be no brand dilution at all. And the idea of a dynastic ticket would give the 45th president time to choose among Junior, Ivanka, and the budding politician Lara.”
