Report: Team Trump is Getting Aggressive Against Candidates Who “Fake” His Endorsement

Donald Trump is going to be a major issue in all upcoming political elections. In some areas, the former president is toxic and candidates will want to completely disassociate themselves from the former president. And in some places, having Trump’s backing will be the difference between winning and losing.

And many GOP candidates will be desperate to have the backing of the 45th president. So desperate, in fact, that some are claiming they’ve been endorsed by Trump when it hasn’t actually happened. The former president and his allies has started to crack down on these Republicans.

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told Politico, “Lots of candidates pretend to have the support of President Trump, most are full of sh*t. You will know when President Trump endorses someone.”

Pollster John McLaughlin added, “Until a candidate gets an official statement from President Trump, whether in writing, video or audio, they do not have the official endorsement. It’s dishonest. If proven, it could totally backfire.”

The only power that Trump has left it that given to him by the Republican party. He is not allowed to post on social media anymore and he’s been speaking at smaller scale events rather than big political rallies.

The ability to endorse candidates is one of the main chips that Trump has left. And it is no surprise to see that he is protecting that power at all costs.
