Report: Melania Trump Flat Out Refused to Condemn Violence on 1/6
For much of her term as First Lady, Melania Trump was seen as something of a victim. The quiet former model often stood in direct contrast to her loud and crude husband.
But according to multiple sources, the former First Lady was regularly on board with he machinations of her husband. And a former aide to Melania Trump, Stephanie Grisham, will be revealing more in an upcoming book.
A recent excerpt from the novel discusses the former First Lady’s actions in the aftermath of the attack on the US Capitol. Grisham relays that she texted Trump asking, “Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?” The then First Lady bluntly responded, “no.”
First Daughter and rival to Melania, Ivanka Trump, did send a message along those lines. But she was also criticized for how she addressed the insurrectionists. “American Pariots,” Ivanka began, “any security breach or disrespect to our law enforcement is unacceptable. The violence must stop immediately. Please be peaceful.” She later deleted the message.
Many in Trump world are reportedly concerned about what Grisham might reveal. As both an aide to Melania as well as press secretary, she had incredible access to the family. And if this initial excerpt shows anything, she has a significant ax to grind.
