Report: Manhattan Investigators Have Turned Their Attention Towards Don Jr.
Donald Trump’s tax returns are being heavily investigated by New York State. According to NBC’s Pete Williams, the former president’s “goose is cooked.”
But Donald Sr. isn’t the only Trump who could be facing legal jeopardy in New York. The are some shady consulting fees paid to daughter Ivanka that are being looked at.
Sons Donald Jr. and Eric are also involved in the family business, being put in charge when senior went to the White House. And according to a report from the Daily Beast, investigators now have their sights set on Don Jr.
The report notes that, “the investigation had expanded and that investigators had become interested in the activities of Trump Jr. and Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization’s chief financial officer.’
Weisselberg is one of the longest tenured employees of the Trump Organization and has a deep understanding of the business. He began working for Fred Trump as an accountant back in the 1970’s. He even served as a judge in one of the seasons of The Apprentice.
Michael Cohen, a former layer for Trump, was recently interviewed by the Manhattan investigators. Cohen recently told MSNBC’s Katy Tur:
“One thing I can tell you, he (Trump) should start speaking to somebody about getting a custom made jumpsuit because it does not look good for him. That’s my prediction.”
