Report: Joe Scarborough May Sue Donald Trump For Accusing Him of Murder

Being voted out of the White House is November was a huge blow to Donald Trump’s ego. More importantly, now that he’s a private citizen, Trump will be spending a lot of time in court. New York state is closely looking at his tax returns. Georgia is looking into his attempts to overturn the state’s election results.

Trump will also be facing civil lawsuits. He still has to deal with the E. Jean Carroll case and he may be facing another case. According to the Daily Beast, Joe Scarborough is talking to lawyers about claims that Trump made about him.

The former president tweeted in May of 2020, “When will they open a Cold Case on the Psycho Joe Scarborough matter in Florida. Did he get away with murder? Some people think so. Why did he leave Congress so quietly and quickly? Isn’t it obvious? What’s happening now? A total nut job!”

An irate Scarborough asked the service to take the messages down. They refused to do so. But now with Trump out of office, the MSNBC host may have legal recourse. Asawin Suebseang reports:

“A knowledgeable source said Scarborough has met in recent months with Washington, D.C.-area lawyer Elizabeth “Libby” Locke of the Clare Locke Firm, to discuss a suit against Trump, who repeatedly claimed — without evidence — that the former Florida lawmaker had been involved in the death of a former staffer decades ago in his office.”

According to the report, Scarborough has not yet decided whether he will go forward with the suit.
