For a number of years, reporters were badgered by the likes of Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany. So the smart and prepared Jen Psaki has been a breath of fresh air. That’s not to say, though, that the press secretary doesn’t have an incisive wit. Many of her exchanges with Fox News gotcha artist Peter Doocy have gone viral.

So Liberals were beside themselves when Psaki said she would probably be leaving her post after one year so someone else could take over. According to Politico, that might not be the case after all.
In early May, Psaki told David Axelrod, “I think it’s going to be time for somebody else to have this job, in a year from now or about a year from now.”
Politico’s Theodoric Meyer and Alex Thompson say that something might have changed. They report:
“A source familiar with the internal machinations said that there aren’t any real discussions about Psaki’s successor yet. Psaki has also told colleagues that she is now happy to stay on longer and won’t just walk out the door at her one-year mark, meaning that would-be successors may have to wait much longer than they expected.”
This will be music to the ears of Psaki fans around the country.
