It is fair to say that the couple don’t see eye to eye on the President. Kellyanne Conway defends Trump on a daily basis while George criticizes him nearly as much. According to a Vanity Fair report, the divide has stained their marriage and George tells friends that his wife is in a cult.

The lawyer was recently hired by MSNBC to analyze the impeachment process against Trump. He told host Nicolle Wallace on Wednesday, “I’m horrified. I’m appalled. If you had told me three years ago it would come to this, I wouldn’t have believed this. I don’t think I could have imagined a president, any president, engaging in this sort of conduct.”

One of those people who may be appalling Conway is his wife. According to writer Gabriel Sherman, “He tells people she’s in a cult. It’s not going to get better until she’s cast out of the cult.”

The report continues, “He’s told people that if Kellyanne leaves the White House, they can make it work.” The piece also notes that Trump tells Kellayanne, “George gets all his power from you.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has gotten involved in the couple’s spat. In March of this year, the President tweeted, “George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!”
