Report: Eric Trump Had a Total Meltdown and Threatened to Fire Data Analysts as Election Results Came In
The 2020 presidential election was unlike any other in American history. Thanks the the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of Americans had chosen to vote by mail. A majority of these voters skewed blue as Donald Trump and Republicans had railed against mail-in voting. Election experts warned that there would be a “red mirage,” where it looked like Donald Trump was doing much better than he actually was.
And, of course, the Trump campaign was aware that this would happen. Still, that did not stop the Trump family from melting down as it became clear that Joe Biden was gaining the lead. And the biggest meltdown of all came from Eric Trump.
The scene from the White House is relayed in a new book, I Alone Can Fix This, by Carol Leonning and Philip Rucker. According to the Washington Post scribes, Eric Trump yelled, “The election is being stolen. Where are these votes coming from? How is this legit?” Turning to the campaign’s data analysts, the president’s son continued his tantrum, “We pay you to do this. How can this be happening?”
Of course, Eric Trump’s father was also throwing a fit. Donald raged, “Why are they still counting votes? The election’s closed. Are they counting ballots that came in afterward? What the hell is going on? They’re stealing this from us. We have this thing won. I won in a landslide and they’re taking it back.”
