Report: Donald Trump Movie Is Coming — But It’s Based On Michael Cohen’s Book

Donald Trump will reportedly be the subject of a new movie. He may be less than thrilled, though, to learn that it will be based on the book Michael Cohen wrote about him.

Michael Cohen’s book, Disloyal, held a few revelations — like Donald Trump’s inappropriate comments towards Cohen’s teenage daughter, and Trump’s disparaging of military service, for example. However, most of it was just a glimpse behind the curtain at how the man who has bankrupted businesses, had a ‘university’ in his name shut down, and became president without getting the popular vote acts behind the scenes.

Now, a report says, this ‘behind the scenes’ look will be the scene — in a movie that Trump will probably rage-tweet about. The report comes initially from the Daily Mail, but Michael Cohen seemed to confirm it Thursday, retweeting the story, though he did not add any commentary or details in the tweet.

It’s not clear who will play the role of Trump, who has trash-talked Michael Cohen since Cohen plead guilty to committing crimes at the president’s behest, though Alec Baldwin has portrayed him on Saturday Night Live throughout the presidency.

The report says that a number of actors have been considered for the role of Trump, and the role of Cohen.

“The movie will be a full adaptation of Cohen’s book and what many people don’t realize is that the book isn’t just about Donald Trump, it’s about Cohen’s journey working for a narcissistic sociopath and how that journey landed him in jail.”

Cohen has gone on from his experience to propel it into a book and a podcast, and if this report comes to fruition, a movie will be the next step.
