Report: Axed Aide Corey Lewandowski Has Been Banned From Trump Owned Properties
Despite the fact that he is constantly firing people, Donald Trump could also be strangely loyal. Take Rudy Giuliani, for example. Giuliani can’t go more than 5 minutes without humiliating himself and was partially responsible for Trump’s first impeachment. Still Trump kept him around to run his bid to overturn November’s election.
Corey Lewandowski has earned similar leniency from Trump. The aide was fired as campaign manager back in 2016, only to be hired back in 2020. And now Lewandowski has been fired again amid sexual harassment claims. And while the former aide is currently banned from Trump properties, the former president has kept the door open on him possibly coming back.
According to the Daily Beast, “[Trump] has made a point of telling close associates and Republican allies that they should avoid inviting Lewandowski to public events or ‘parties,’ particularly if alcohol is flowing or if the event is held at one of the ex-president’s prized private clubs.”
Asawin Suebsaeng and Roger Sollenberger also note, “Others close to Trump have already told subordinates, as well as fellow players in the party and in the conservative movement more broadly, to remove Lewandowski (at least for now) from invitations and emails for upcoming GOP and MAGA festivities, according to two sources familiar with the situation.”
The report, however, continues, “In private conversations over the last two weeks, the former president left the door open for Lewandowski, with Trump saying he wasn’t sure if every recent allegation sounded credible, according to two people familiar with the situation.”
