Ratings Update: Barely Anyone Watched Donald Trump’s Disastrous ABC Town Hall
Donald Trump still trails in reputable national polls by an average margin of around 7 points. And unlike 2016, there are way fewer undecided voters. So Trump decided to try to reach the remaining undecided voters by participating in a ABC News Town Hall on Tuesday night.
The event did not go well for the President as a number of his nonsensical answers went viral online. Even worse for the ratings-obsessed Trump; barely anyone watched the event.
TVMoJoe tweeted, “Wow. Donald Trump was a Nielsen LOSER last night for ABC. His disastrous town hall drew only 3.8 million viewers and a 0.6 in the key adults under 50 demo. BIG BROTHER and AMERICA’S GOT TALENT both did better, both in viewers and the demo. Sad!”

The President is often quick to rip news anchors who are critical of him by claiming they have low ratings. He also used this argument to demean the NBA after a number of players discussed their feelings on social justice.
Howver, Trump has been encountering plenty of low ratings himself recently. The Republican National Convention, which featured 4 nights of Trump, finished well behind the DNC each night. Democrats also crushed the Republicans in fundraising during the month of August.
Trump seemed to think the event went way better than most people. He took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to write, “Thank you for the great reviews of the ABC News show last night!”
