“QAnon Shaman” From Capitol Riots Arrested
One of the standouts from the horrifying images of last Wednesday’s insurrection at the Capitol Building was a man dressed as what can only be described as a barbaric bison. Bare-chested, tattooed, and wearing a fur hat sporting horns with his face painted to resemble the American chest, he literally howled as he moved throughout the halls as he carried a spear, approximately 6 feet in length, with an American flag tied just below the blade.
While Twitter has had its fun with his images, what he did was no laughing matter. And now he’s been not just identified, but arrested, and was still in custody on Monday and allegedly demanding a special diet as well.
Authorities arrested the self-appointed “QAnon Shaman”, Jake Angeli (real name: Jacob Chansley), and two others in connection with the riots. According to a statement released by the Department of Justice, Angeli was taken into custody on Saturday and charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
Angeli was also photographed on the Senate dais.

Trump supporters and far-right activists have continued to falsely claim that the riot in the Capitol on Wednesday, which has killed at least six people, featured “Antifa” protesters pretending to be Trump supporters. But Angeli, who is also known as “Yellowstone Wolf” in the QAnon community, tweeted Wednesday night, that he was the one they saw.
“I am not antifa or blm. I’m a Qanon & digital soldier. My name is Jake & I marched with the police & fought against BLM & ANTIFA in PHX.” Angeli has been seen attending Black Lives Matter protests as a QAnon-supportive counter-protester.
Angeli is already acting up despite spending the weekend in prison, where he’s being held, apparently on a hunger strike until he gets better food.
