QAnon Candidate Posts Ad Threatening the Squad

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a right-wing Republican candidate running for Congress in Georgia and a major supporter of the QAnon conspiracy theory, is creating yet another controversy with a violent new image circulating on Facebook and Twitter.

Calling herself “The Squad’s Worst Nightmare”, Greene holds an assault rifle with an attached sight next to pictures of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar. Greene added remarks above the image, calling the Squad “socialists who want to rip this country apart”.

Facebook removed the offense photo per their Terms of Service, but her post, which received nearly 3000 Likes, is still up.

Greene’s campaign responded to the immediate criticism of the new ad, saying anyone who takes offense is “paranoid and ridiculous.” But this isn’t the first time Greene has threatened Democratic women. The members of the Squad responded to Greene and her obvious threats.

Greene not only doesn’t see anything wrong with her posts, she’s also doubled down by auctioning off the gun she posed with in exchange for campaign contributions, which is a violation of FEC rules.

Greene has been on the national radar for quite some time. Politico exposed some of her darker conspiracy theories back in June. However, she’s somehow managed to not only stay in the race, but receive backing from other GOP candidates like Matt Gaetz and Donald Trump himself, who has retweeted her on more than one occasion, calling her “a future Republican star”.

Despite her posts and tweets, Greene is still enjoying a healthy lead over her Democratic opponent, Kevin Van Ausdal. Van Ausdal is struggling in a deep Red county despite Greene’s outlandish statements.

Twitter had announced it was cracking down on the QAnon accounts throughout the platform, but as of Friday, Greene’s account was still active.
