President Trump Lies About and Disgracefully Mocks Christine Blasey Ford During Campaign Rally

Tuesday, at his campaign rally in Southaven, Mississippi, Trump took time to directly support his Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh, while mockingly chastising Kavanaugh’s alleged victim of sexual assault, Christine Blasey Ford.

“I had one beer. Well, do you think it was — nope, it was one beer,” Trump said in mimicking Ford’s testimony from last week. “How did you get home? I don’t remember. How’d you get there? I don’t remember. Where is the place? I don’t remember. How many years ago was it? I don’t know.”
Chants, cheer and laughter were reciprocated by the loud crowd of Trump supporters, and the president just dug his heels in deeper as he continued:
“I don’t know. I don’t know,” the President continued. “What neighborhood was it in? I don’t know. Where’s the house? I don’t know. Upstairs, downstairs — where was it? I don’t know — but I had one beer. That’s the only thing I remember.”

Not only are Mr. Trump’s remarks extremely disrespectful and distasteful, but they are inaccurate as well.  During her testimony, Ford specifically remembered the alleged sexual assault incident taking place in an “upstairs” bedroom, so there was no question whether it was “upstairs” or “downstairs”, like the president implied.
Not only did Ford claim that the incident took place upstairs but she also recalled Kavanaugh and others walking up and down the stairs by the bedroom.
This brutal attack by Trump contradicts his own statements of support toward Ford from last week, but his tone seems to be changing now that there is a real chance that more than one Republican Senator could vote “No” on the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh.
