President Trump has taken a few swipes at son-in-law Jared Kushner since moving into the White House and he doesn’t appear to show any signs of slowing.
A report from The New York Times claims that Trump was talking to his aides when he joked that he “could have had Tom Brady” as a son-in-law. The POTUS then added, “Instead, I got Jared Kushner.”
That’s not the only attack the President has reportedly had for Kushner. The Times says the President has gone from directing people to speak with Kushner to claiming, “Jared hasn’t been so good for me.”
Trump also appears to have a weird obsession with Tom Brady becoming his son-in-law. Trump’s former wife Ivana wrote this little gem about Ivanka. “At one point, Donald wanted her to date Tom Brady, the quarterback… He said, ‘You have to meet him!’ But Ivanka wasn’t into it.”
Even if Trump’s working relationship with Kushner is souring, there are still on better turns than the dozens of aides, administrators, and other employees who have fled the Trump Presidency over the previous 18 months.
Kushner may be family but he’s also dealing with his own personal business troubles. A federal judge recently warned Trump’s son-in-law to stop dodging a summons to appear in court. That summons is in regards to a racketeering charge. Kushner has also been accused of purposefully using carcinogens and pests to remove rent-controlled tenants from an apartment building he wanted to convert into luxury condos.
President Trump has also reportedly blamed Kushner for the Mueller investigation despite calling the investigation a “witch hunt” on numerous occasions.
