POTUS & FLOTUS Attend Nephew’s Wedding to Reality TV Star

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden enjoyed a little dose of reality over the weekend when their nephew married a former Real Housewife.

Cuffe Owens, the son of President Biden’s sister Valerie Owens and her husband, Jack, married Meghan O’Toole King, who had been featured on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Valerie Owens served as the campaign manager on both of Biden’s failed presidential runs, in 1988 and 2008. Most recently, she was a senior advisor to Biden’s successful 2020 presidential campaign.

The newlyweds had only gone public a few weeks ago, making it “Instagram official” when King posted photos of the pair together and called Owens “my man” in the caption. King recently finalized her divorce from retired baseball star Jim Edmonds two years after they separated, and has several other high-profile public relationships before settling down with Owens, a lawyer who shies from the spotlight that’s often shone on his famous family. Meghan has three young children from her marriage to Edmonds.

The president and the first lady, who had been in Delaware for the weekend, attended the “small, family wedding” at Owens’ parents’ home in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, according to the White House, and returned to D.C. on Monday afternoon.

Owens and King’s celebration isn’t the only Biden family wedding in the works. The first lady’s granddaughter Naomi Biden recently announced her engagement to Peter Neal. When asked if Naomi and Peter’s wedding would take place at the White House, the First Lady said she and the President haven’t been asked to host yet.
