People Share Their Stories Of How They Have Ruined The Day Of An Entitled Person

There are so many times when people are just rude or disrespectful for no apparent reason. They look down upon someone without a clear picture of who they really are, only to get shocked when they get to know that the person they are mocking is of a greater social status than them. Times like these are when karma comes out to play.

Here are 40+ stories from the Reddit community of people who encountered rude and disrespectful people and how they overcame those Karens and Kens.

1. I run this place

I worked as a manager in a big nightclub about a year ago. I don't wear a uniform, but I have a radio and run the security team. The venue has a great smoking section that looks out onto the street. One night the venue was packed so I did my usual roam making sure that everything was fine, however, it was too packed to walk through the smoking section, so I walked down the street instead, but could still very easily see into the smoking section.

One guy stares me down, then calls me over, and starts swearing at me for no reason and telling me that "pieces of crap like you could never even get into a venue like this". He obviously had no idea I was the manager, however I didn't want to have security get into a fight inside with him.

The guy kept telling me he would punch me out etc. and was clearly trying to look macho to impress someone. So I agreed and told him to come and meet me outside and he could even have a free swing. He puts his drink down, takes off his jacket, and storms outside. Once he walked outside, I walked back inside and told security not to let him back in.

The look on his face, when he realized I ran the place, was priceless, and then the realization that he couldn't get back into the club was amazing. It was the easiest and most fun removal I have ever done.

2. I hope she gets fired!

When I worked at a bar I came across a rude PA. There was a big table that spent around £800 in an hour, and the PA of the guy whose table it was came to the bar demanding a drink for her boss when I was clearly serving someone else. I told her to wait like everyone else and she slammed a glass down on the bar and it smashed at which point she ran away.

After some time she returned and I was serving someone else. After demanding and being refused a drink she leaned over the bar and said "If you don't get me that freaking drink I'm going to smash your head across the bar."

I'm not someone who would take this normally but on this occasion, it was much more satisfying to look her in the eyes and say "Well your night is over" and laugh while watching 2 security guards eject her.

I hope she got fired, vile little woman

3. The bouncer had my back

I was a 'porter', clearing bottles, glasses, and ashtrays in a busy nightclub. A persistent problem was knowing whether or not a drink was finished. Some people want to suck all the ice, some people want the drink gone.

After two misunderstandings, where I went to take a drink away when the drunk punter didn't think it was finished, the punter complained to me. I apologized. They then blew up at me, Effing and blinding and making a performance. Totally OTT. In a loud nightclub, they were the center of attention.

I went and complained to the bouncer, who I got on with. He calmly went over, put the punter in a painful armlock, 'escorted' the punter to the door, and threw him down a flight of concrete steps.

It was horrific. Blood, grazes, bruises, and tears. The guy was really hurt, he was lucky nothing was broken. The bouncer came and high-fived me, with the whole bro handshake. I felt ghastly.

4. That won’t work here

When I was working a crappy job in my younger days, a customer was upset that he had to wait in line like everyone else before being able to make his purchase.

He actually said, "Do you know who I am? I own hotels!" To which I replied, "Well sir, I'm sorry, but this isn't Monopoly, this is Krispy Kreme." He was not pleased.

5. Back of the line, sir

I'm in a massive line at a store. I'm next in line, but the person in front of me has a lot of stuff. A helpful clerk sees the mess and opens another aisle saying, "I can help the next customer." Well, that's me.

However, the checkout counter has two sides- a right and a left. It is set up for people to come to the right side, but the left can be used as well. As I am stepping over to her counter, this guy from the very end of my line is sprinting to her counter, pushing people, with his partner in tow. He arrives right before me.

They have a mountain of items in their cart which he starts throwing on the checkout counter. I am standing there on the other side with my one item, burning with rage. Checkout girl waits until he stacks all of his stuff on the counter, looks at me, looks at him, and says to him, "I'm sorry sir, you're on the wrong side. You'll have to go to the end of the line."

Which is now massive. I put on my biggest grin, made eye contact with him as long as possible, and loudly told the clerk how awesome she was.

6. Always be kind

Just the other day I was at a Chinese buffet and the three people in the booth next to me were questioning the waitress (she appeared to be Asian-Hispanic) about voting for the President and who she planned to vote for. She had trouble understanding them and communicating that she could not vote.

They immediately began taunting her that she shouldn't be here if she couldn't vote, that she didn't even know who the President of the United States was, and then took a picture and said they would post it on Facebook. I later found out the waitress was on a school visa and couldn't vote but was unable to convey that to them.

After the waitress walked off, one of the girls at the table (the one who took the pic) looked up and asked me where I worked because I looked familiar. When I replied at the local university in the social work department, she commented that she had recently been in my office to apply to our program, to which I replied "Yes, I remember you and I'm also on the admissions committee [followed with a wink]." The color drained from her face and she knew she had messed up. Karma is real.

7. Pick on someone your size

A guy in the gym once was making some kids of about 14 feel bad telling them to put some man weights on the bar and to stop being weak. Anyway, every time they find a new workout he comes and repeats the process lifting bigger and trying to embarrass them.

I was annoyed but tired and let it slide. Only it happened again, the same kids came in 2 days later and he was there also. He starts doing exactly what he did before. Well, that was it. I walked up right next to him doubled what he was lifting and repeated everything he had said to the kids in the last 5 minutes while staring at him.

He quickly moved on and went to another exercise but I wasn't done the kids were looking at me like I was Batman. I followed the guy to the next 3 exercises and did as he had done saying the same things. Then he left, and never saw him at the gym again but those boys sure came back and have been making steady gains for over a year now.

8. I got my revenge

I was riding my bike to work one day and when crossing a street (in the legal zone with a walk sign) a woman ran me over. She drove through the crosswalk looking to turn right and ran right into me. She stopped after I got bumped hard enough by her fender to take a spill and have some bruising all down my side.

She gave me an exasperated, "my bad" wave and continued to talk on her cell phone, ignoring me as I picked myself and my bike up. I walked right up to her open window, grabbed her cell phone from her ear, and chucked it into a nearby parking lot as hard as I could. I swear that was the furthest I have thrown anything in my life. She gaped at me in shock as I struggled back onto my bike and slowly rode off fuming yet victorious.

9. Be a responsible citizen

I watched a lazy shopper park their grocery cart right behind another person's car instead of putting it in the cart return. I got out of my car, ran up, and moved the cart then I put it behind her car.

I then ran off and watched her have to get back out of her car since she couldn't back out, and then finally proceeded to put up her cart the right way. I felt like a champion of the people.

10. No rush

I had a lady tell me to hurry up during a busy day. I was already going as quickly as I could. But instead of telling her that, I slowed down to almost a crawl. Her groceries were to be delivered so after she paid and left, I took my time organizing her bags.

I even waited about ten to twenty minutes before telling the delivery department to pick it up and told them the customer said not to rush.

11. Don’t cheap out

I volunteer at my university, for safe walks, and all that jazz. We are required to report suspicious and illegal activity. Witnessed a woman driving a Mercedes-Benz across a lawn to bypass the parking gate, tearing up this gorgeous lawn.

Being an ex-landscaper, and mad at some rich lady for being too cheap for parking, I was not amused, so we reported it to the parking authority. They show up while the chick is still getting things out of her trunk, box her in, and start writing a ticket. She ended up driving away, over a curb, peeling her bumper off in the process. Made me kinda happy inside.

12. I will take everything

At the end of a long commute home, after a hard week, I went to a Millies Cookies store just before closing time. As I walked up to the counter, not 5 feet from it, some guy ran from behind me and tried to cut in front of me. The girl working there insisted I was first (thank you).

Outraged at what that guy tried to do, and noticing there were not many cookies left, I said "Hi, I'll take absolutely everything you have". Cost me close to $60, but it was so worth it.

13. I only wanted one slice

In San Marcus, Texas I was out with friends at the bar district. After the bars closed we walked to this pizza place.

While waiting in line the guy in front of us calls his friend waiting nearby a piece of crap. Somehow, the girl behind us thinks my buddy said it to her and cussed him out, and eventually knocks his hat off his head. He remains calm.

I bought the last three remaining pizzas(they were closing), gave 2 of them to my buddy to hold, and then threw the third in the trash in front of them.

Good times, I only wanted one slice.

14. Time waits for no man

I work in a local theatre, and we have a lot of rude, awful women who are part of local ballet schools come through our venue and are the mothers of the dancers.

Once this woman rang up wanting seats to an almost sold-out ballet performance that had been on sale for 4 months the day before the show and did nothing but abuse me for 5 minutes because she left buying them too late, whining about how she shouldn't have to pay to for her kids, whined that we should get a bigger venue (it seats just under 500 -.-)

She put me on hold while she rang 3 of her relatives to see if they wanted seats too. She was positively awful. The seats I was about to sell her were the only ones in the theatre left, and they were good seats.

While I was on hold a grandma of one of the ballerinas came to the desk and asked if we had any seats left, as she'd been in hospital and couldn't buy them earlier, but said she'd understand if we were booked out. I put the phone with the on-hold music down and sold this old lady the last seats for the show, and gave her an invite to our next year's dance season for her grandaughter and herself, so she'd know exactly when all the important dates were coming.

She thanked me over and over, and she's now one of our regulars and brings her grandkids to our shows. 2 minutes after the old lady leaves the lady on the other end finally takes me off hold and says she wants the remaining seats that we have left, I tell her "Sorry we've just sold out while you had me on hold I'm afraid, better luck next year, anything else I can help you with?". She was choking with rage on the other end of the phone, it was fantastic.

15. Boo!

Years ago I was in a cinema with some friends watching a horror film, can't remember which one. Anyway, a couple of guys behind us thought it was really funny to yell 'Boo!" in the tense parts and generally ruin the movie for everyone around them.

I had a large, and by large I mean bucket, of coke, the next time the guy yells "Boo!" I throw up my hands in shock and dump the whole bucket of coke in his lap. I turned round to apologize and saw him sitting there stunned and soaked, coke dripping off the brim of his cap.

I nearly gave myself a hernia trying not to laugh. I swear he made squelching noises as he walked out.

16. “Light ice”

I knew a girl who had a woman who was VERY rude multiple times demanding LIGHT ice. Apparently "light" ice wasn't good enough for her and she threw the cup at the cashier berating her for being such an idiot she can't even get something as simple as "light ice" right?

She made a new cup, put four ice cubes in it, and pressed the button to fill the appropriately sized cup, leaving about 1/3 of the glass empty. Then said, "Sorry, the machine still fills the cup the same amount, regardless of how much ice." The manager backed her up.

17. I dealt with it

I heard this from a DJ in my hometown. He's pushing his cart of groceries out of the store and over to his car when a woman pulls into the handicapped spot in front of the store. No placard, no handicapped plates. Jumps out of the car without so much as a limp and heads into the store. He gives her the stink-eye about taking up a handicapped spot, and she snarls "Deal with it" and sashays into the store.

The guy is pissed. He sees a couple of cops who are leaning against their cars talking. They hadn't seen it. So he goes over and tells them the story. They smile and say they'll handle it. He puts his groceries in his car, and as he's pushing his cart back to the store to put it in the rack (Good Guy DJ) he sees the cops have blocked the lady's car with theirs and were leaning against their car waiting for her.

As he's putting his cart in the rack the lady comes out of the store with her purchase, sees the cops, and freaks out. (The fine in CA is $250-500 for a first offense) He walks over to her and says "I dealt with it."

18. Jokes on you

A few years back, after having gone shopping, I was queued in traffic waiting to get out of the car park. A few cars ahead of us there was this crappy old bomb of a car with 4 teenagers in it. Fairly douchy-looking dudes, shirts off, board shorts, and sunglasses on (we were nowhere near a beach).

Anyway, these 4 teenagers had a megaphone with them in their car and thought that it would be hilarious to shout out profanities at other cars and people in the car park area while we all waited to leave.

This center employee drives by in one of those tractors with a trailer attached for transporting shopping carts and the guys in the car start shouting at him through the megaphone. "Why don't you get a real job you freaking loser!" and so forth. The employee just put his head down as he drove by with that 'okay' expression on his face.

Next, the 4 teenagers decide it would be funny to start shouting profanities at some guy in a massive offroad 4x4 with a bull bar on the front. Bad move. I can't remember what they said, but the 4x4 guy wasn't having any of it. He calmly drove his car out of the queue and got about 25 meters distance perpendicular to the teenagers' crappy car. Then he hit the gas and T-bones their crappy car into the wall. He then calmly backs up a little and then takes his turn to exit the car park and goes on his merry way.

The employee transporting the shopping carts nearly fell off his tractor with laughter. His laughter was in Laddergoat territory.

19. Free coffee!!

My friends and I were in line at a coffee place on a boardwalk after days surfing when the woman in front of me went freaking crazy and started screaming at the girl making the drinks something along the lines of "You freaking ingrate! I'm deathly allergic to milk you prick.

I want to speak to your freaking manager before I rip your freaking head off. I specifically asked for Soy milk. How could I be any blunter about S.O.Y. You could have freaking killed me" She was told to stop swearing or they would call the police, and she denied her bad language and also stuck to her guns about demanding soy milk.

I then stepped in and pointed out the fact she didn't ask for Soy and I could prove it. She then proceeded to call me a "big man with a small brain" and asked me to prove it. I then pointed to my buddy's GoPro I still had mounted on me after messing around on the boardwalk. I had the BacPac screen so I could show them exactly what she said. Lo and behold, she was proven so very very wrong and hastily steamed away. The girl thanked me and her manager gave us free coffee!

20. "You know it, baby! Now where's this booth?"

I work at a bar and for the past several weeks I've been dealing with a regular guy who just hits on me all the time in the most sleaziest way possible (Trying to look down my shirt, touching the small of my back, he even called me his girlfriend to a co-worker).

I've told him countless times that I'm not interested and that I found his advances inappropriate and incredibly rude. Of course, this doesn't stop him. Advance to today. I had the day off and decided that it would be fun to visit work and have a few free drinks while watching the election progress. So I brought my boyfriend to the bar and sat down on a stool and behold this guy came up.

He ignores my boyfriend, puts his hands on the small of my back again, and says "Hey you, I have a booth if you wanna put your hands to work." He looks at me and grins a sleazy smile. "Oh yeah, I knew you wanted it all along. You got nice hands baby" I had no idea what he was talking about since I wasn't holding his hand.

He then looks at his hands at my lower back and his face goes pale. He isn't holding my hands but my boyfriend's who snuck his hand to hold his and made this jerk think that I was holding his. My boyfriend then looks at the guy and starts talking in the most feminine voice. "You know it, baby! Now where's this booth?"

He then kissed the guy's hand! The guy's face. PRICELESS! He let go of my boyfriend's hand and ran out of the bar. My co-worker was standing there looking at everything and started cracking up. It was the best.

21. Drama queen got a ticket

Not me but when I was working at a car dealership we had a bunch of cars get their wheels stolen one night. A police officer was in writing a report and a lady came in screaming that the cop was blocking her from getting to the service drive-through.

She was screaming at the top of her lungs creating a huge scene. The cop calmly walks out, and moves his car comes back in, and finishes his report. Then he walks back out and drives his car to the end of the street and parks. The lady comes out then gets in her car and leaves. He pulls her over for having her wipers on without her headlights on.

22. Pay the price

An officer friend of mine pulled over an exceptionally rude jerk for a simple speeding violation, you know the type loud, rude, self-righteous, and vulgar.

In return for his stupidity, my friend proceeded to ticket him for every little thing that he could find. Examples include, tread depth being insufficient, wiper fluid not filled high enough, tires not filled up to the proper pressure, and so on. He took an hour of this man's time and ended up giving him $1500 dollars in fines.

23. Don’t be rude next time

I work for parking services at a decent-sized university. I don't write tickets, I just man the front desk, answer questions, and enter permits and changes into our database. We get yelled at/cussed at a lot, so it's nothing new, but this woman comes in raising hell over some tickets she rightfully got.

She was so ignorant and rude about the whole situation, but I politely looked up her account to see if I could find any errors or anything that might help her. She is constantly abusing me the whole time I'm trying to see what I can do for her...Well, look here, these $ 100s of tickets you're complaining about aren't being linked to your account for some reason. I don't tell her this, but I do ask to see her last ticket, so I can check if everything is right.

Little does she know, with the info I got from the ticket I transferred all of those tickets she got onto her account. If she had been nice about the whole thing, she would have probably gotten away without ever having to pay those, now she has a few hundred bucks worth of tickets.

24. Crazy little woman

I was standing in line at a bank waiting to deposit my paycheck (this sentence just made me feel old) and this young woman came in talking loudly on her phone about how she was mad at her friend. The line was pretty long and I was two people from the front.

She starts talking to the person in front of her about how little time she has and how much of a hurry she's in. People get tired of her mouth and decide sooner or later to let her pass them. By the time she gets to me, I'm next in line and she looks at me and says, "You know I'm going next, right?" I looked her in the eyes and replied, "I don't care what you think is about to happen.

I've been waiting my turn and I'm not about to let some stuck-up sorry excuse of a woman cut in front of me because no one wants to tell you no. I'm not your friend and I'm not moving." She got mad and hit me in the arm. A security guard saw that and pulled her from the line and threw her out. On my way out he whispered to me, "She is crazy."

25. I speak Dutch

I speak Dutch (ish). So, I was at a pretty multicultural event doing some volunteer work and I was with a buddy. We ran across two Dutch girls and said hey, started chatting and whatnot. Anyway, my buddy decided he liked one of these girls and started making his move, nice and slow and all that.

She started talking to her friend in Dutch about how she would let him keep crawling after her, about how it would be funny to keep his attention all night and lose him later. Anyway, she said to her friend she was going to take him dancing and I said in Dutch 'I like dancing, why don't you take me instead of being a jerk to my friend?'

The look on her face was priceless, my friend and I left and had a great evening.

26. United Front

My husband and I were driving just over an hour home from my in-laws' house and for reasons I can't remember, we were in separate vehicles. To make the trip more tolerable, we had each other on speakerphone.

Although the highway was not particularly crowded, he was a bit further behind me, directly behind another car that was driving very slowly. So, he put on his left blinker to go around the guy. As soon as he started to move left, the guy abruptly cut him off only to keep at a snail's pace in the passing lane. By that point, I had slowed down enough to catch sight of them right as this was happening.

Jay, being much more patient than I decided to just pass him on the right without signaling. When Jay started to move right the guy swerved right. Only, Jay hadn't given him the benefit of a blinker warning, so they were nearly side by side by the time the other guy started to move right and the guy had to swerve back into his own lane to avoid hitting Jay.

Before the other driver had time to make it more of a nonsense pissing match of trying to get in front of one another, I was slowed down right in front of him. Again, there really weren't many other cars on the road at all, and since we were on the phone, we could coordinate.

I slowed down in front of him, Jay kept pace with him on the right and he had the cement wall on his left, so he was boxed in and forced to slow down to our pace, which for me, dropped from 75 mph to about 50 mph. We decided to keep it that way, for the remaining 30 - 45 minutes of our drive home.

He never signaled or honked, but he did make a ton of confused and frustrated faces. I giggled uncontrollably the whole way. Definitely worth the extended driving time.

27. Drive safely

Years ago, my friends and I used to go race our cars at a local racetrack (by local, I mean two hours away). On our way home, we would usually form a convoy of up to nine cars, all following each other and sometimes having fun going for short races when the lanes opened up.

About 20 minutes away from town, a douchebag driver decides to weave in and out of traffic as well as start cutting people off, some of which were drivers from my group.

We gave each other the heads up, waited for the guy to get into the middle lane on the freeway, and proceeded to box him in. Since this was a major freeway with at least three lanes, we managed to box him in with eight cars - three up front, one on each side, and three behind.

Then we all slowed down to less than 35mph and drove that speed for about 10 minutes. He was rightly pissed. We let him go after we got bored toying with him.

31. Just wait a little longer

I was next in line at the grocery store and there was a pretty long line. This woman behind me was making a huge fuss about them needing to open more registers and she was swearing and muttering under her breath. When a second clerk appeared at the next register to open another register he looks at me and says, "I can help the next person in line, sir".

The mumbling woman behind me saw the clerk coming, backed her cart up, and was rushing for the register that was opening. Now there was a cart parked between the opening of the two registers blocking me from walking directly. I saw the woman barreling towards the open register I swiftly pushed the cart blocking her path and moved my basket into the now open register.

Her face got so red and looked like she was going to explode as she nearly collided with the cart. I just looked at her and said in the most innocent voice I have "Ooops, he did call for next in line." smiled and got checked out as she had to go all the way around.

The best part is one other person managed to sneak in behind me and she ended up having to wait longer as a result. Best day ever.

32. The dirty shoes

I worked at a shoe store. We took back everything, no matter what. A stupid policy, but then again, it isn't in business anymore.

One day a woman walks in during Communion season, returning a pair of boy's dress shoes she bought 3 days earlier. The kid must've played football in them - they were literally covered in mud, grease, and scuff marks.

This was the ONE person I refused a refund. She went crazy on me, yelling, screaming, demanding a manager. So my manager comes up behind me, and I just know he's going to give this woman her money, and I know she's gonna smirk at me as she exits the store. I actually braced for it.

Instead, Mike (my manager) walks up, takes a look at the shoes, and tells the woman no. She goes bananas, telling him "My son wore these shoes ONCE, to his communion, and they fell apart like this?" To which Mike calmly says:

"Ma'am, it looks like your son wore these shoes to the Normandy invasion."

33. Movie date

I work at a movie theatre and had a woman storm in with her husband late for her movie and looking very rushed. She immediately skips by the 5 people in line to get tickets, slams the two ticket coupons she had down in front of me, and informs me that she's in a rush. She tells me to make this quick and ignores everybody waiting behind her.

I then, to her very clear displeasure, for her to go to the back of the line. By the time she gets to the front, she's yelling at me for making her miss the beginning of her movie. She was seeing a new movie and the passes technically don't work on them (I can easily make it work but she was rude so I made her pay for her tickets. It was simple, yet really satisfying.

34. That’s not your parking space

Guy in a nice Audi parked in the handicapped spot. I saw it and so, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and just walked up to him to make sure he had an ACROD. He didn't.

So I sorta told him: "Dude, you shouldn't park there, you don't have an ACROD and you're not disabled. " His reply: "Go away you little piece of crap"

So I thought okay, fine. I pretended to walk away, waited for him to shove off, then walked over to his car, got every single detail down, took several pictures of his car plate, and the spot he was in, plus got some witnesses. Then I proceed to take every single shopping cart in the trolley stowaway area and place it all around his car, as close as possible without touching his car. Then I called the police.

Half an hour later as I was finishing up my grocery shopping, I saw him trying to explain himself to the police with them handing him a fine and then proceeding to push all the trolleys away.

The best thing about it is that in his impatience, he accidentally slams one of the trolleys on his sideview mirror, damaging it. I was watching all this from a bench while eating a cornetto.

35. Get out of my club

I used to DJ in a nightclub in Sydney. It was always a crowded club but this night was busier than usual. I was crossing the dance floor with my hands full of sodas for the other DJs and promo girls in the booth when I tried to make my way past a group of guys who were trying to creep on some hotties.

I accidentally and unavoidably brush up against one guy to get past him and I say "Sorry, buddy". He turns around and starts pushing me and then his friends start pushing their fingers in my chest and yelling at me. They were trying to look hard in front of the women in the club. I absolutely hate people who look for fights.

They are yelling and pushing me in the direction of the DJ booth. The crowd has started to part in anticipation of a fight. The security guards see this and start coming over and I give them a look letting them know to hold back. As the douches push me to the booth, I step up into the booth, turn the music down slowly, and stare the first guy right in the eye.

I let the silence hang for about 10 seconds. Their faces drop as they realize I am the DJ and I calmly say into the mic "Security". The guards grab them and drag them out of the club and the crowd goes wild. I hit play on the console and my DJ partner had lined up the perfect song.

36. Other people have feelings too

My dad was on a flight and sitting in business class, which is not as nice as first class, but only 3 times the price of an economy ticket, with a guy dressed in a flashy business suit sitting in the row in front of him. The guy was incredibly rude.

"Waitress, bring me a coke." "I said a coke, that means in a can. (without tasting it) This looks like Pepsi." "Waitress, bring me something to drink." "I don't care what, but it better be good."

You get the picture. Eventually, the guy takes off his shoes and falls asleep. My father's running partner takes one of his shoes and hides it in his backpack.

The plane lands, people start to get off and the rude guy is frantically looking for his shoe and shouting at himself. My father's running partner takes the shoe off the plane and just throws it away. Later the rude guy would discover a note in his briefcase explaining that other people have feelings too.

37. Treat everyone with respect

I work as a nurse at a hospital. A physician who rounds on my floor was known for having a temper when things didn't go his way and constantly treated the nurses and PCAs as if they were maids and secretaries. He was arrogant and continually called everyone ignorant and useless.

One day, he gets so upset he throws a patient folder across the floor and the papers fly everywhere. A nurse makes a move to pick up the papers and I scream at her, "Don't you dare pick that up! If Dr. "blahblah" doesn't want to be reported, he better pick up every one of those papers!"

He is fuming mad but the entire floor and even his residents are all staring him down so he slowly starts picking up the papers one by one and slams them on the counter. He hasn't been a hassle since and I am sure to throw warning glances at him when I see him on the floor.

38. Sweet sweet revenge

I was at the convenience store buying a drink for my wife and I. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude. I was also picking up a pack of cigarettes for my father.

First off I have a full beard and look like I'm 30, which I understand is no excuse not to show my ID or for them to ask for it. But this lady asked for it and when she was given it (I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING TO HER ABOUT ASKING FOR MY ID, JUST TO CLARIFY ... I just handed it to her normally, no attitude) she started bending it, looking at it, expecting it in the light, flicked it a few times. Like she was looking for it to be fake.

She then scratches with her nail on the back of the bar strip, then finally scans it. She sees it's real and such and then tells me "12.98" and I pay. She then throws my change on the counter and says "Have a nice day" in a really rude way.

I have not been rude to her at this point, she just seemed very agitated from other customers and the parking lot was getting redone and some drivers drove on it, so the whole store was all pissy.

I told her, at this point, I was getting mad at how rude she was, "Why don't you grab me a bag for this stuff ma'am" and she grabbed one and then popped it real loud in a very rude way.

I told her (right by her boss, who was walking by) "And you can lose that attitude while you're at it" and her boss stopped and asked if there was a problem with the store clerk I had. I told her how her clerk was being rude and I had done nothing, right then and there the boss turned to the clerk and said "Grab your stuff and go home, now..."

Sweet sweet justice.

39. The lunch lady

This happened on Monday, I was standing in line at my school's cafeteria when I overheard a girl in front of me complaining to the lunch lady. Apparently,  the lunch lady had accidentally given her two prices of pepperoni pizza instead of two cheese pizzas, which she had ordered.

The little old lunch lady replaced her pizzas and apologized for her mistake, the girl grunted and muttered "You don't get paid enough to make mistakes you immigrate piece of crap." And stormed off, this pissed me off. I ordered my pepperoni pizza and politely said thank you.

As I was walking back to my table I noticed my chance for vengeance, the girl had gone and left her pizza unattended (must have gone to get water or something) I quickly swapped my pepperoni pizza with her cheese and walked off.

It was worth it to see the look of confusion and anger as she sat down and ripped the pepperonis off of the pizza and ate the sad, mangled pizza. Yesterday I got my lunch for free from the same lunch lady.

40. Underage teenagers

One night we had some teenagers come into a liquor store I was working at. I asked them to leave as they were obviously underage and without an adult, they told me to leave them alone, and anyone who's worked in retail knows you can't physically kick anyone out.

Luckily this big kiwi bloke comes up to the registers with his beers for the night and asks, "Hey bro, want me to sort them out?" He walks over and literally shoves them out the front door. I gave him the beers on the house. This being said there were a few ways we would get back at rude customers.

A favorite was to knock a cold carton of beer off the shelves and kick it out of the cold room before picking it up and putting it into their car. Watching them try and drive out while cracking open a can only to have it spray everywhere was always satisfying.

41. Immediate Karen

I worked at a cable company up in Canada. One time an immediate Karen called (immediate Karen are those who are upset the moment you pick up the phone). Now I'm in tech support so I don't often get angry people on the phone since they know I'm about to fix their problem.

But this woman just goes off on me. I calmed her down, figured out the problem, and let her know that her cable box/TV was fine, she just needed to pay her bill. She had gone 60 days without a payment and was a flagged 'late payer' so she was turned off automatically by the system.

I told her that she could either give me a CC number and I can process it while on the phone, and - still while on the phone - ensure her cable starts working. For whatever reason, this set her off. She started dropping bombs and ranting about having an entire living room full of people over to watch Jersey Shore. Needless to say, any patience I had for this woman ran out at that point.

I attempted one more time to take a payment explaining that this was the only way she'd get service back. She cursed at me, so I told her she wasn't going to get any 't-shirt time' any time soon and hung up on her, then I disconnected her modem too.

42. Be genuine when you beg

I was waiting for the subway and a very cracked-out woman was begging for change, getting angry as all the "rich honkey bastards" were ignoring her. My group of friends was ignoring her because we offered her our leftovers (she claimed to want money for food) and she insulted us badly.

Well, a gentleman was singing at the station, obviously for change, who stopped his song to say "Ma'am, please..." Well right when the tweaker turned around, I took the pocket full of change I had and put it in his hat. He chuckled and kept singing.

43. Speed test on the way

I was driving on the highway late one night, just cruising in the middle lane. I was surrounded by a loose pack of about 7-8 cars when I noticed some headlights coming up behind us pretty quickly from the on-ramp. Because of how we were staggered (and the left lane was going about the same speed we were, shame shame)

He got stuck behind us and made a big show of changing lanes and tailgating extra close. I COULD have slowed down to open up a passing window in the middle lane, but since he was being a jerk so I purposefully maintained speed to block him back there. Eventually, he gets fed up and passes the group by weaving in and out recklessly on the shoulder cutting off two cars, then starts to speed off.

I didn't realize it, but there was a cop in the left lane two cars behind me, who immediately threw on his lights and pulled him over. I just remember feeling very smug and thinking "Gotcha" in my head.

44. It was an embarrassing moment for her

When I worked at Blockbuster a few years ago, this woman walked up to the counter while talking on her phone, paying no attention to me or the line of 10 people behind her. She set her movies on the counter like I was supposed to magically know her account number. 10 seconds later, she condescendingly looked at me and pointed at her movies.

I said, "Ma'am, I need your account number." She dug through her purse in a huff and set her credit card in front of me, returning to her phone conversation. I restate myself. She finally hangs up her phone, fuming. She eventually finds her membership card and I ring up her movies. When I run her credit card, it is declined. She says, "What do you mean by that?"

My manager had been witnessing the whole thing and loudly said, with a smile on her face, "Ma'am, your card has been declined. Do you have any money in your bank account? You have to have enough money in your bank to pay for things." Two of the customers behind her started laughing uncontrollably and the lady stormed out of the store.

45. Karma served me right

I didn't believe in karma until I saw it firsthand. When "Star Trek" came out a few years back, my whole nerdy family came out to see it together. I already had tickets for the film so I thought I'd hold a row for them as they were buying theirs. I picked the only open row and sat down on the end seat- which was directly in front of a lone, middle-aged woman.

Within seconds, she began verbally abusing me for picking the seat in front of her. I'm not that tall, so I wouldn't have impeded her view, but I don't think that really mattered to her. Each time I attempted to explain why I sat there she got more angry that I was interrupting her. Eventually, she gave me the finger, got up, and sat down in a random seat a few rows back. The moment she touched down on the seat, the whole thing fell apart and she toppled to the ground.
