Let’s dive into 70+ stories about EXTREMELY entitled people. Read about customers who ask for too much and friends who act like everything's about them.
These stories will make you say "Wow!" and might even make you think about how we should treat each other. It's a fun and eye-opening ride into the world of people who feel like they deserve everything.
1. I’m Not A Servant
A couple of years ago, I had a study group going for a college course. We were usually together for a good 3 or 4 hours, so it was pretty common for someone to volunteer to go get food for everyone.
Since they were the person getting us food, we would all kick in a little extra so that the person getting the food didn't have to pay for theirs. Colloquially, "If you fly, I'll buy."
So one day, one of the girls in the group announces she's going to a fast food place about an hour into the study session. I look up and say, "Ooh, I'll buy if you fly.”
She looks at me like I've grown an extra appendage and scoffs, in this really disgusted tone, "I don't bring food to other people. Servants do that." Keep in mind, we'd all been doing this for each other for weeks now. She knew it was a thing. I was completely floored.

2. Listening Is For Fools
There was this girl that started working at the store I worked at and one night we were scheduled to work together in the same area. People who work in an area together usually talk while performing the menial tasks so I figured I would get to know her.
She explained she was a former model and she seemed super prissy. Not to insult her character but it explains why she said what she did.
Imagine a typical conversation where you're trading stories and comparing but every time I would talk she would say, verbatim:
"Yeahhhhh, but I don't really care about that" and "I don't really want to hear about that" with no proposed alternatives to conversation or anything. It screamed, "I'll talk, you'll listen, and nothing else"

3. Excuse me?
Back in the day when I first began to do fieldwork, I met someone who just got his Ph.D. (and truly felt like he was it). While we were out there, an old friend who he hadn't seen in years came up to him and greeted him using his first name.
He actually stopped the person in the middle of their sentence and said "Excuse me, my name is Dr...___” and he was absolutely serious.
This was about ten years ago and I now have a PhD but I wouldn't imagine doing that to anyone.
Really, the only people who refer to me as Dr are my students (if they don't use professor) or if I am at a conference or something and that is absolutely fine by me.

4. A Walking Wallet
Not maliciously snobby, but a funny story from my big sister's younger years. Her (about 12 or 13 at that point) and my dad were out buying her some new winter shoes.
My sister locked her eyes on a pair of Converse boots almost instantly, and my dad suggested at least looking around some more if she found something even nicer.
To that, my sister just said in a very matter-of-fact way: "Remember, you're just the wallet." Nowadays if someone from the family takes someone else shopping to buy them something it's "tagging along as the wallet".

5. Entitled, Rich Ex
One of my exes thought she was a pinnacle poli-punk warrior despite living in a literal mansion, her dad being an executive at a security and aerospace company, and receiving a nice supplemental income from daddy while she lived “out of the system”.
She refused to acknowledge her extreme privilege and would shame others for doing the stuff poor people do like eating at McDonald’s.
And say incredibly dumb stuff like “you have to eat organic to be vegetarian” at a time (90s) when organic was not widespread and at least triple the cost of conventional
Growing up poor, I constantly tried to show her why she should chill the hell out and have empathy for others but she never got it.
Over the years, and with the gift of emotional maturity, I realized this was not just her being intolerable but an expression of untreated mental illness that she still does not treat.

6. Sorry, Wrong Person
My mom had a friend who ended up marrying a rich guy and acting like she was hot crap for it.
She once asked us if she had given us some random kitchen appliance she had gotten rid of. When my mom replied “No”, this woman deadass said, "Oh, I must have given it to one of my other poor friends."

7. Mean Girl
Not me, but when my friend was in 5th grade, the popular girl had a family that was up top at a local concert venue and for her birthday party.
She got tickets for everyone in the grade to go see some singer, except for my friend.
At lunch the day before, the girl exclaimed, "Who's excited for tomorrow?" Everyone screamed "Yes!", except for my friend.
Everybody asked, "Why isn't [my friend] excited?". to which the popular girl responded, "Oh, because SHE wasn't invited." Idk all the details but it's still really messed up.

8. Too Disgusting For Me
Years ago as a teen, I used to volunteer at the animal shelter. I’d clean out cages, empty litter trays, clean all the dishes, feed the cats, and give them a fresh litter tray.
And sure, it would sometimes be messy, especially if one of the cats was ill and had diarrhea. That’s a lot of cleaning and disinfecting. I never minded because I loved working with cats - still do.
We get this new volunteer one day and I’ve got to show her the ropes. She immediately decided that she couldn’t possibly touch a litter tray because they were ‘dirty’, so stood by the sink and watched me scrub around two dozen trays.
She did nothing at all the entire time she was there. I ended up getting mean to her and asked her what the hell she was here for if she wasn’t going to help out. Thankfully that was her only ever shift.

9. Major Donor, Major Entitlement
At an emergency room filled with people in need, a woman walked to a nurse and said, “He (her friend) wouldn’t want me to say this but he’s a major donor to this hospital. Is there anything you can do to have a doctor see him now?”
And I thought, “If he wouldn’t want you mentioning that he’s a major donor to this hospital... why did he ever mention it to you?”

10. Too Much Effort
I work at a high-end buffet here in Vegas. You get sat and are told to wait, I come up and greet you, explain our offerings, go over the drink menu, take a drink order, and then inform you to help yourself while I get the drinks.
As I stepped away one time I heard a kid about 8 or so say, "So I have to get my own food?" Mom said yes. The kid said, "I told you we should have brought Michael with us." Mom said, "NO, I told you before, we're not bringing our butler on vacation."
I was 5 feet away and this was clear as day. That kid was 100% not joking one bit. He really wanted his family butler to be on vacation so he wouldn't have to walk to a buffet and get his own food.
I'm not insulting the little dude for having a baller lifestyle, but holy moly that was a hell of a conversation to hear.

11. Humans Are The Real Monsters
I used to groom Trump Jr’s dogs. They have poorly bred Havanese that were generally brought to us in a pee-filled carrier, with eyes crusted so bad they regularly had eye infections and poop caking their butts.
This is not an exaggeration. They were also almost always matted and needed to be cut short, which they would complain about.
Jr’s then-wife, Vanessa, actually talked my ex (who I ran the shop with) into dropping their prices by $10 each right off the bat because they were going to be “regular” customers.
I’d say we saw the dogs every 3-4 months, and I can’t tell you how many times the card we had on file would be declined and we’d have to call them for a new one.

12. No Regrets
At my first job (making sandwiches), I had a guy come in, yelling that his drive-through order was wrong. He sort of slammed the bag down on the counter while he was yelling, and held up the receipt to prove it.
Kept shaking it, too, like I wasn't looking.
My job at the moment was just cutting and wrapping sandwiches, so I kept being like, "Sir, I'm really sorry that happened, but if you just go to the cashier, she'll get you squared away."
But he wouldn't go, kept yelling at me like it was my personal fault. Eventually, he wadded up his receipt and threw it at me. That is the one and only time I ever turned and walked away without another word.

13. Teaching Them Young
A customer and her kid were checking out at a major retailer where I work part-time. The cashier who was checking them out was a younger girl.
The kid was about 6-8.
He had something in his hands that the mom was buying and the cashier offered to ring it and give it back to him.
The kid said, "You better or I'll have your job." The mom said, "Don't be like that (Johnny), she probably needs her job."

14. I’m Not A Maid
At the college where I worked, a student from Puerto Rico told a story about how she really wanted to attend our institution from an early age. She was accepted and excitedly began her first few days on campus, a predominantly white and wealthy college.
In the dorm, one of her floormates stopped her in the hall and asked her what days she cleaned their rooms and if she also did their laundry. The woman was devastated and almost dropped out, but she persevered and graduated in four years.

15. Rich And Ready To Argue
Shared this before, my ex-girlfriend and I just got back to our hotel after a wedding. I asked her not to make too much noise as it was in the middle of the night and she was drunk and loud. She turns to me and says:
“I don’t care, I can pay everyone’s salary here with my expensive shoes.” Shamefully it took more than that for me to break up with her.

16. Asking For Punishment
I tried on some clothing in a dept store recently. The women's fitting room was full, so I used the teen one. While I was in there I overheard 2 bratty little girls with their mom buying them clothes.
While Mom was bringing them more stuff to try, the girls were cursing her and calling her a stupid witch. Mom just took it and carried on. As soon as I could leave, I cried.
Bebe_Bleau
17. Painfully Entitled
A flatmate was screaming at her parents over the phone for not buying her airpods for Christmas.
She's 18, gets about £3500 pounds a month, and has been stealing her cancer-ridden mother's pain medication.

18. Some People…
I was gassing up at a gas station in Orange County, California. A homeless guy is there pulling empties out of the trash, not bothering anyone. Spot-on stereotypical OC woman driving a brand new luxury car is gassing up.
Goes to her car, and pulls out a ball of aluminum foil, which she hands to the empties guy.
She then says to him “You probably have more money than I do.”
The dude says to her “Lady, I ain’t driving a luxury car.” She drives off and we look at each other and he says to me “Some people...”

19. I Want It All
This reminds me of my sister. I love her to death but she just remodeled her basement for $100k (which is more than the cost of my entire house), and she recently said to me "You're richer than me".
What the heck? Her reasoning was because I have less debt than her. But I also make like, a fifth of her salary, so...

20. Entitled And Hypocrite
My friend's son is exactly 1 year younger than my son. She complained that children's clothes are so expensive and they need new outfits and shoes every 3 months (her son was 6 months old).
I said I'd be happy to pass on some of my son's clothes as he grows out of them.
She said, "Second-hand items are disgusting. I can't demean my son by dressing him in someone's sloppy seconds".
Fun fact, her kid was adopted. That irony was not lost on me though I thought it would be offensive to say.

21. Shoes Are More Important
It was a quote from my teammate on the train on the way to soccer practice in NYC, a city with one of the biggest wage gaps. We were talking about what we had done over the break and the kid just shouted:
"I saw [another kid in our grade] because my Hamptons house is right next to her Hamptons house". He was one of the worst players on the team. Another time also came from a soccer game.
A kid in the grade above me had changed into the uniform, then made the forty-five-minute commute to the game with the team, then did the stretches with the team, but when the coach gave him his position for the game he said "Oh sorry, I can't play today, I don't want to ruin my Yeezys."

22. Airport Issues
This just happened the other day, at airport security, a woman tried to get through security before getting her boarding pass from the airline desk.
She was "Like can't you just let me go through first!" and "Can someone go get it for me?" and "Why can't I just get on the plane?", the whole time talking to who I assume was her friend about these bastards picking on me. Could not believe it.

23. Lacking Basic Skills
When I was 18, I was an assistant manager at a froyo place. All the other employees were 14-17 and in high school. I had to confront two employees after being made aware they never, ever cleaned anything (which of course is a sanitary violation).
The employees are completely unrelated also, barely know each other outside of being coworkers. They both laughed at me and said they had maids who cleaned their houses so they never learned how to clean. I was so dumbstruck my jaw actually dropped.

24. No Crab Legs For You
My elderly parents took us all on a nice beach vacation. One evening we went to a gorgeous restaurant overlooking the water.
Fancy place, super expensive. My niece opens up the menu and sincerely whines in a loud voice, “I was told there would be crab legs!”

25. Sociopathic Airs
I was with a large group out drinking many years ago. A friend-of-a-friend who was from a wealthy family (I was told) had been a bit of a loudmouth but generally funny and somewhat charming.
On the way to get cabs home, we came across a panhandler — more of the rougher, older version. He asked for change so the guy in my party said he would match however much money the panhandler had on him.
The poor guy dug through his pockets and various jackets etc and produced x dollars to count. The dude I was with then hit the guy's hand causing the change and bills to fly everywhere.
This was supposed to be funny. He had obviously done this before. A couple of us helped the panhandler pick it up and gave him some cash. Seems like pure sociopathic behavior.

26. Only Agreeing With The Basics
In the early 2000s, I made a few online friends, and we would sometimes meet in one of their places. My parents were extremely suspicious of the whole thing, so they would usually make me jump through hoops to prove the friend I was meeting was "okay".
I made this friend my parents liked a lot. She was genuinely adorable, and to top it off, looked like a doll: porcelain-white skin, huge blue eyes, blonde curls [I may have had a crush on her...].
I wasn't used to my parents liking the people I hung out with, so this was new.
Until they asked me what her last name was. It was a very obviously not white name. "...Oh." I've never seen them looking this cheated before.
[deleted]
27. Changed My Mind
This one time seemed particularly not promising. I wanted to meet up with a new friend, whose last name was pretty obviously non-white, who wasn't religious, and whose parents were divorced [the horror!].
My mother pretty much decided she wasn't letting me.
"Where does she live, anyway?" ; "Oh, in [name of an extremely affluent neighborhood]"; "Hmmm... Maybe you can go after all."

28. Close-Minded Rich Kids
When I was in high school, I worked to buy my first car as did most. Some clunker for $1000. There were these 3 guys whose dads would buy them these new jacked-up trucks.
Lifted with sound systems and everything. Then they wanted to complain about how hard life was. Everyone hated them.

29. Karma Works
Around the year 2000, while we were all in college, some friends and I were hanging out with a girl we knew in HS, I'm not sure how it came up but she was very adamant that she wouldn't date anyone who made less than 60k a year.
From what I've heard, she's married now with kids, and the husband plays video games all day not working, while she's now a doctor.

30. Just Learn German
When my mom was on vacation in Greece (years before I was born btw) there was a couple who were crying about how the people there don't understand/speak German. In GREECE.
My mom was actually embarrassed (to be German?) and said sorry to the owner of the shop they were in. But the whole thing had a funny twist: turns out the shop owner could actually speak perfect German. She just pretended she couldn't understand the couple to annoy them.

31. Okay Boomer
I was going to a football game with my grandpa and his friends. These friends live in the "million dollar" part of Seattle, and are pretty well off themselves.
We are all sitting at a table for breakfast when I hear the wife say "I don't know why kids these days are so mad about student loans, just work and pay it off in ten years like I did" with my grandpa quickly agreeing. Took all I had to not reply "Okay boomer".

32. Acting Like A Child
I was working at a ladies' underwear boutique as a sales assistant. My boss had made it clear that I'm not supposed to spend too much time with one person and I needed to be available to help others and watch the entrance.
This woman came to ask me where a product was, so I helped her find it. She told me to hold her bag and put it in.
So I did, but it quickly became clear she wanted me to follow her around hold the bag and put items in for her.
I politely explained that I needed to watch the front entrance and handed her, her bag. She picked up the bag, dropped it on the ground, and left.

33. A Tiny Mistake
This wasn't an entitled snob but she was from a rich family and it was funny. We were 1st years living in a dorm and one evening we decided to prepare our instant noodles to eat together.
A couple of minutes in, this girl complained that her instant noodles weren't getting soft. She had added cold water instead of hot.

34. Animals Have Feelings Too
I have a friend who worked with a high-profile person. They were talking about pets, and this person made the comment that their family had considered getting a dog but decided against it.
They were too concerned that the dog would become more attached to “the help” than to their family. The way they said it, it was obvious that they didn’t even realize how entitled it sounded. So incredibly oblivious...

35. Do You Know Who I am?
I was at work at Panera. A guy comes up to me and asks for a refill on soup. I say "No". He then said, "Give me some more soup."
I don't recall if he got it or not, but then I was approached by a manager asking me if I knew who that was. I say "No." It was apparently a buddy of Trump's from the apprentice days.

36. Don’t Expect Me To Do The Effort
Used to work at a call center doing tech support for an expensive electronics brand. I had a 19-year-old girl tell me she had cracked her fifth(!!!) phone and needed a new one ASAP.
I explained that she would need to either mail it in to us or take it to the nearest store so we could replace it. She literally said "Oh my god you expect me to go to the damned STORE?? JUST GET MY PHONE FIXED!"
Then I explained that if she didn't want to go to the store she could mail it and that if she went with the most expensive shipping options we could get her her new phone in three days. She thought I was joking.
The call lasted for another 20 minutes because I think she actually did not understand that there was no way for her to get exactly what she wanted immediately. I quit the next week.

37. Princess Treatment
My grandfather thinks the world revolves around him. He does the whole "do you know who I am?" thing if he doesn't get his way, despite the fact that he is not, and never has been, anyone of note or importance.
If he wants something, he expects you to drop whatever you're doing, no matter what. He once threatened to beat me up when I wouldn't get him a drink because he's diabetic and can't drink it. I've never met someone so far up their own butt.

38. Not That Privileged Anymore, Huh?
A kid in high school slapped my sister. I grabbed him and was about to slap him back in front of his friends when he said "Do you know who my father is? You aren't allowed to touch me!" So I didn't slap him.
I punched him in the stomach and then kneed him in the face. Then I held him up so my sister could slap him. None of his 'friends' did anything. I found out later they all had wanted to hit him previously but were actually afraid of his dad.
His dad did try to have me arrested but the school cop told him that if he had me arrested, my parents could have his son arrested for slapping my sister, and while I would likely face no formal charges since I was coming to the aid of my sister.
He would likely be charged with a series of crimes since he was about to turn 18 and she was 14.

39. Let Me Use You
When I was 6, I had this friend who would come over all the time to hang out. I lived in a town of ~200 people, and kids that were my age and wanted to hang out with me were scarce.
So he would come over, and I had two game consoles, which was pretty cool btw, but anyway, he would come over and just play it while I watched.
This was pretty boring for me so one day he came and I said I didn't want to play games, I wanted to go outside and do something. He got real mad, and said if I didn't want to play games we couldn't be friends anymore.
I, already having developed the "screw you" attitude, said fine. I guess he didn't expect that cause he threw this huge fit and started crying and my mom had to call his mom to come get him.

40. It Seems You Don’t Know Me
I was at the movies seeing a Star Trek movie, kid had an asthma attack about 10 minutes in (I think because of the lens flare, that's what I blamed) so I scooted her out to the lobby to get some more inhaler in her and assess whether we need to leave or not.
The commotion at the concession stand.....interesting. My kid is feeling better so we move in closer because we're nosy as hell and also she needs a soda, but mostly we're nosy.
It's the local on-air weather guy crying and moaning about how he was late for the movie and can't they just start it over? That poor manager.
Trying to explain that there were already about 30 people in there about 20 minutes in at this point, and that even if the weather guy had the only ticket he could not restart it because it would mess up the rest of the day's schedule.
The weather guy was not hearing any of it. He even once yelled out "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!" as it mattered. I still refuse to watch that channel. Screw that guy.

41. Honking Drama
I was at a shopping center and came out to head to my car and heard someone honking repeatedly.
Curious, I went over to look and saw a car sitting in a lane, turn-signal on, with 5+ cars behind them, going to town on the horn as someone sat in their car with the engine running in the closest parking space to the door.
Clearly content to sit there and ignore the person demanding they leave faster. I stood and watched for a minute, along with a gathering crowd, as the guy in the parked car just sat there. When I left I could still hear the person in the turn-signalling car still honking away.

42. Careless And Selfish
I'm a flight attendant and once a person had a heart attack during boarding. We started CPR and were trying to revive him with the AED when another passenger started yelling at us because he was going to miss his connecting flight.
He told us that we should open the plane door and throw him out so we could take off on time and multiple other passengers agreed with him.

43. How Could You?
I was getting tutored at school and this guy apparently was interested in me. After my tutoring session, he was asking if I had plans and I thought he was just making small talk, so I just said that I was working and spending time with my boyfriend, nothing special.
He scoffed, gave me an attitude, and he said that he was tired of girls like me. Tired of helping girls like me and getting nothing in return.
I asked him to clarify what he meant in return.
He told me that if he was going to tutor an attractive girl then that girl should reciprocate by going out with him, etc. When I was challenging that he got more and more irate and started spewing some awful sexist stuff. I noped out of there so fast.

44. I’m Paying You!
I work graveyard at a gym. I rerack every night around 1. When people see me doing this, they almost always put the weights back where they belong.
One night, I was reracking and this big dude came in and started using the heaviest Dumbbells (120lbs, 115, 110s, etc). Instead of putting them back, he was just leaving them on the floor.
Some of the regulars walked up and said hey man don't be like this, you see he's putting stuff away, just put them back.
He said, "No, I will not do that. This is MY gym. I pay for a membership here. I'm paying for him to put stuff away. If I wanted to rerack my own weights I would workout at home."

45. You’re My Slave
I've probably seen worse cases, but this happened yesterday so it's definitely fresh in my mind.
I work at a car dealership and I was writing down some information while a customer was on the phone with their insurance. They were back and forth on hold, talking to different people, trying to figure out why their rate would go up so much.
I'm there trying to finalize a few things. I guess she had to write something down that she was talking about.
She takes the pen I'm using to write out of my hand, takes the notepad, rips the page I was writing on off and throws it down next to her, then begins writing talking into the phone like "yeah, uh huh, mhm, right, right".
I'm sitting there with my jaw literally on the floor. Normally I wouldn't say anything but I made a little mention like "Oh, if you needed a pen I'd be more than happy to hand you one".
She looks up and says "You are MY salesman, you are here to work for ME. You can do what you want to do when I'm done here." Politely asked her to leave, and told her to have a great day.

46. Messed With The Wrong One
I worked as a busboy at a seafood restaurant when I was younger. The issue with lobsters that people don't realize, is that no chef can control how much black sludge gets inside it (The black substance is made of eggs that were resorbed when caught).
Most lobsters don't have it, but when they do, it's perfectly normal and safe to eat it. Anyway, a woman happened to get a lobster with the substance in the tail and immediately flipped out about it.
The manager was sent over to assure her it was normal and that there was nothing to be alarmed about when she interrupted her by screaming "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!? I AM THE EDITOR OF TIME MAGAZINE!!!".
The manager paused, said "Good for you ma'am" and continued on about how the lobster was fine. I was 15 and was shocked by how snobby an adult could act...as well as confused as to why her being an editor of a known magazine meant she deserved more than other guests.

47. It’s Not That Hard
I made some mention to my college roommate about how annoying the bus route I took to work was or something like that, and she turned to me quizzically and said "Why don't you just tell your Dad to buy you a car?"
I was 22 at the time.

48. You Owe Me For Being Nice To You
Can’t believe that people think that if they are chivalrous and kind enough to a person, they deserve to leave the friend zone and start getting “intercourse”.
Everyone should be a nice person, and of course, you want kindness in a partner, but no one owes you anything for being a decent human.

49. Not His Problem
I didn't see this, but it makes my blood boil anyway. A man passed out in my dad's laundromat, right inside the doorway.
As my dad was trying to take care of him, another customer repeatedly shoved the door open against the unconscious man's body, even as my dad was telling him to stop, and then walked OVER the body to go do his laundry without batting an eye.

50. They Couldn’t Wait
My husband and I went and got flu shots at this pharmacy, and my husband fainted when he got his. The pharmacist was (obviously) concerned and helped me get him laid out on the floor while she called an ambulance.
There were two other customers who kept trying to INTERRUPT her on the phone with 911 to help them with their orders while my husband was lying on the floor unconscious. Wth.

51. Eww, Germs!
I have a friend who refuses to use all forms of public transport because people will be too close/germs.
She will sit in traffic for 45 minutes to get 2 miles on a daily basis instead of just taking the metro like one stop.

52. Never Enough
My 19-year-old cousin is such a self-entitled spoiled witch. My aunt and uncle are very wealthy. I feel kind of bad for them though because their "precious little angel" abuses them.
My cousin expects everything should be given to her on a silver platter. She curses, yells, and hits them when she doesn't get what she wants. They always give in to her.
I remember on her 17th birthday she got a car and she got mad and threw a tantrum because it wasn't the exact model year she wanted.
Are you kidding me?! I had to work hard to get my first car and it was crappy.
She gets a free car, and not just a regular everyday car, it was a damned brand-spanking new luxury car. Not only was she ungrateful about the car, she took it out and crashed it one night getting screwed up.
Her parents bailed her out, got the best lawyer money could buy, and she just got away with it. I want nothing to do with her anymore. She is a terrible human being and she will always find ways to take advantage of people.

53. Only $250?!
My freshman roommate in college chucked a massive fit because, after buying her a ton of presents, buying all her friends dinner, and going on an additional shopping spree, her mom wouldn't buy her a $450 purse.
Her mother had agreed to purchase her one in the range of $250, but argued that she had flown in for her daughter's birthday and was renting a hotel room on top of all the things she had already purchased for her and she had coupons or some such for a purse in that price range.
My roommate's response was to finally storm off in the store, and then tell me and the rest of the friends she was with that her mother "always does this!" and that she couldn't find any purse that cheap that she wanted.
Went on a rant about how her mother was probably buying all the good stuff for herself. This was fairly early in the school year, and my roommate and I ended up having a lot of problems.

54. You Must’ve Heard About Me
One time, I was at a luxury fashion store, and overheard people talking at the register. I turned around and apparently, it was the assistant to Abby Lee Miller and some of the studio girls from Dance Moms. I don't think it was the ones always on TV.
Anyway, she was complaining about a dress she wanted to return and exchange and made sure the employee knew how important this was because she was going to the Kids Choice Awards.
I actually laughed to myself. And the only reason I knew who they were was because she pointed it out several times. I would have had no idea who they were. She was a brat and I wasn't impressed by them.

55. Prepare For Trouble
A new fast food drive-in opened up last month in our town. Not a lot happens here, so when it opened, there were cars backed up for no joke about a mile. Me and my husband went later at night the day after it opened thinking it would be less crowded, but no.
There were people outside directing traffic, it was so busy. We were at a stop and talking to one of the guys directing. He said that the day it opened, a lady was waiting in line spilling outside, and was yelling at him that she "could see an empty seat inside".
She demanded him to let her in so she could "get her f-ing cheeseburger". He told her that someone else had waited for that seat and that she had to wait like everyone else, and she SPAT IN HIS FACE.
Then he said, "Ohoho okay, now you're not getting in at all." And walked to everyone and told them what she looked like and not to let her into any entrance or drive-through.

56. I’m Limited Edition
My roommate in college: I can think of a few things but one that stands out was breaking up with her boyfriend because he "couldn't afford her."
This is the one who sent her flowers monthly and often paid $700+ to fly to visit her and for her to fly to him (they were long distance).

57. Unrealistic Expectations
A coworker has been here for 2-3 months (we are both contractors).
He walks around and acts like he is God's gift to the client. He does nothing all day but complains: “Oh why oh why are they not hiring me permanently?” I am like dude, do your job, show your value first.

58. Not Intentional
My brother bullied me for all his life. Until I emigrated and didn't look back. He got married on my birthday and I stated that I wouldn't attend.
Because of distance, because of my birthday, because of work, because of the fear of flying, and because screw him! He got really angry and got most of my close relatives to attempt to guilt me into coming.

59. She Had Better Stuff To Do
Our smoke alarm went off at 6:30 am and we called the fire department. They were searching the house for flames when the neighbor next door complained to us that she was going to be late for work because the fire truck was blocking our joint drive.
I mean, there were literally guys in heavy gear running in and out of the house. She was a high-paid techie marketer, too, not some struggling clerk.

60. Getting Humbled
I worked as an "escalations manager" for insurance. We changed our policies after people were screwing the system - they'd join, serve the grace period, claim $10-20k, and then drop the cover.
We closed the loophole and the number of people who called up and flipped their crap was disgusting. When I called people out on their plan to screw the system, they get really quiet and they tone it down.
Until then, however, god damn, people act like they're 12.

61. Cutting Them Off
My sisters:
Sis 1 tried to steal my driver's license because she looked like me and wanted to drink underage.
She got caught, and I took the ID back, she was pissed, & insisted she only took it because I was being so "weird" about keeping my ID when it's "normal" for older sibs to give the younger ones their IDs for drinking.
One month later, Sis 1 made a noise about my ID again. I tell our mother I won't give Sis my ID even if she threatens to end herself. Sis 1 sobs audibly on the kitchen table (one room away from me) for 30 minutes, because I'm being mean.
Sis 2 is still furious I moved back home after developing anxiety issues because she thought she was going to get two years as an only child and my poor mental health ruined that for her.
Sis 2 blamed me for being abused by my 5th-grade teacher, & told me I was bullied because I "wasn't normal and people didn't like me." Was noticeably angry a week later when our mother made her ask me for permission to use my laptop for a school thing.
Because apparently, Mom should have just made me hand over my computer to a person who insulted me in the worst way possible.
Sis 1 and I needed to work out a shower schedule. Sis shot me down every time I proposed for myself.
I got frustrated and snapped "So you want me, the person with a full-time job who has to be up by a certain time, to wait until you've showered so I don't conflict with your social life?!?" She actually yelled, "YES, IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?"
Needless to say, once I finally get out of this house, contact with my sisters will be limited.

62. They Deserve More
The worst cases I see are common in gaming culture. It's the folks that think anything a company does to make money is terrible, and that the players deserve everything to be practically free.
I think the majority of gamers are pretty reasonable, and understand how capitalist markets work, but there is a very loud minority that just complain about everything.
And it's over the most petty and insignificant stuff, but they'll complain like you did their mom in front of them, while spitting in their face.

63. You Can’t Tell Me What To Do
A little late to the party, but I have a mild entitlement story. In 2001, I went to Italy, we spent one of the days in Florence and of course, we went to The Accademia Gallery.
They have signs posted and the tour guide stressed several times that NO pictures could be taken of David. While I was waiting for the rest of my group to finish, I stepped outside to smoke.
A big black van pulled up in front of the museum and Arnold Schwarzenegger got out and went in.
I quickly stubbed out the cig and followed him back inside, the first thing he did was go straight to The Statue of David and started taking pictures.
Of course, no one said anything to him. I actually snapped a picture of him taking a picture(no signs were posted about not taking pics of entitled governors). Btw, he's short.

64. Everything Is Mine!
Spent a brief time sharing a house with a "friend". In quotes because we are no longer friends. My parents had two game consoles they rarely used. I figured I'd bring it over, we went 50-50 on another couple of controllers so we had 4, and fun was had.
A little while later, my parents were having a gathering, so I returned the consoles to them. My "friend" the next day sent me a very nasty e-mail at work demanding that I return "her" consoles and that I was horribly wrong for touching her stuff. Uhhh....yeah.

65. I Can Do Everything I Want
This punk kid in my neighborhood would go to my friend's backyard and would play or jump on my friend's trampoline.
When my friend confronted him, the kid said "I can jump on this all I want, my dad is a cop".

66. She Deserves Some Special Treatment
A girl in High School. We shall call her Beth. Beth was a typical teachers’ pet/special little snowflake. She was also a hypochondriac who was apparently very sick and brittle. (Coming to class covered in band-aids, and tension bandages so she didn't have to participate in gym class).
She was also my "Friend". (Her words, not mine. I avoided her as much as possible.) Here is a list of things she did that pissed me off:
1: She would fake panic attacks to get out of class because then she would get to go see the counselor who always gave her ice cream. (This was in grade 11).
2: She was a snitch. Any secret you tell her, she would instantly spread when your back was turned. Caught her in the act more than once.
3: Compulsive lying. See above.
4: The thing that made me absolutely hate her. She came to school wearing these expensive shoes. At the time, I was incredibly jealous. (Coming from a poor family, I was wearing a pair of my mother's hand-me-down off-brand shoes you get at Walmart for 12 dollars).
She had them for ONE DAY. I saw her as I was leaving full-on screaming and crying that she had put a scuff in her shoes. She apparently did the only rational thing. She threw them in the trash and showed up to school the next day in an identical pair.
HER SHOES WERE BRAND NEW, AND THEY WERE APPARENTLY RUINED BY A SCUFF MARK?!?!

67. Too Cool For This Crap
My family was out to dinner at our neighborhood restaurant and a waitress came over and told us someone had run into our car. My dad ran out of the restaurant to find Myron Goldfinger, a supposedly famous architect, staggering drunkenly out of his vehicle, having smashed it into our Jeep.
My dad went up to him and said, "You just crashed into our Jeep, I need your name and number to pay for the damage."
The guy looked at him and said, "Don't you know who I am?!" and started to stagger away.
My dad said, "Excuse me, I think you've mistaken ME for someone who gives a damn. You crashed into my car." The guy said, "We're staying at the hotel down the street. You can ask the front desk for some money tomorrow."

68. Getting Jealous
One of my dad's coworkers is perhaps Old Economy Steve incarnate. Claims because he "pulled himself up by his bootstraps", he deserves the world handed to him on a silver platter.
Dad's boss even said "You got the job because you knew people in here" and he still believes he pulled himself up by his bootstraps.

69. Here Comes The Princess
At work last Friday, a woman screamed at me about how she was "never shopping here again" because the lane she wanted to check out at was closed.
There were 10 other lanes open, many of them with no customers. I'm not even a cashier, I'm just a bagger, and at the time I was pulling carts. AND THE STORE CLOSES NEXT SATURDAY ANYWAY.

70. Rich Privilege
In my hometown, if an elite is drunk and is in a crash, police write a check for damages, the victim signs a waiver, cars are towed home, and it never goes to court.
Nobody loses their license either.

71. Still Not Enough
A friend whined that his parents obviously didn't care about him because they gave him an older model car for free in a color he disliked.
Another friend of mine getting job interviews because his father, who is moderately famous and upper-level management at a game company, ARRAIGNED THEM for him...
The friend would later complain that he's so unlucky (disregarding the fact that getting an interview in the first place is lucky as hell) and that he could never work a retail job ever again.
Cue him being unemployed for 5 years, can't drive because it makes him cry out of fear, but somehow thinks he deserves better.

72. He Needs A Reality Check
My 13-year-old nephew lying down in the aisle of an airplane crying because his parents were in business class and he and his siblings had to sit in economy class.
He screamed that he didn't deserve to sit in economy class "like these people".
When he was 18 he asked for a raise in his allowance because "substances cost a lot".
The little jerk is now 23, never worked in his life, and claims to be a scriptwriter. His parents (lawyer and doctor) keep giving him money in the hope he'll turn it all around. Too late...

73. Mine, Mine, MINE!
I used to work for a furniture store, and the areas I was in charge of included dishware and silverware. An old lady came in with a friend and was interested in a particular teapot (Talavera style, hand-painted), but the lid had a chip.
I showed her another teapot but she didn't want it. She then asked me if she could just switch the lids. I told her I didn't think so, and she told me to check with my supervisor, so I did.
The answer is no, of course, but my manager did tell me to offer a discount on the chipped one. I relay this to the lady.
She is not pleased. Her mouth twitched and she loudly declared "I will not buy broken things!"
She turned to leave, I looked away for just a moment, and when I looked back at the display the teapots were on, I noticed that the unchipped lid was gone and so was she.
Yes, that's right. She bought nothing and stole the lid of the other teapot out of spite. I called for our security guard but he was older and recently had heart trouble so it took a while for him to get to where I was (also a fairly large two-story building), and the old lady was long gone.

74. Shut it, Karen
I think this is more stubbornness than entitlement, but about 10 years ago I was working at a store, and a woman with the "I'd like to speak to your manager" haircut came in.
She was looking at a $300 item and I can't remember how it happened but I wound up telling her that it was something like $5 less than the actual price.
She goes to purchase it and it rings up at the normal price, and her haircut wasn't having any of that. It took about 20 minutes, 3 store managers, an entire cashier line being shut down during Christmas, and me almost getting fired to get her that item at $5 off.

75. Lying For A Password
Working in an IT in a call center environment. We are strictly in-house. Had someone's assistant call me asking for a password reset for the end user.
Advised I need to speak with the end user directly as we cannot give passwords out for anyone to anyone.
Their response was, "It's too bad you're refusing to help them, 'cause they make more money than both of us combined"
I told them I treat everyone equally regardless of income. The best part, I looked the guy up, he wasn't even an exec or VIP user.
