The House will be voting on Donald Trump’s impeachment tomorrow and all indications are that it will pass. That fact seems to unnerve the President, who today sent an angry letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
The rambling letter was meant to be a protest from Trump against what he feels has been an unfair process. When asked about the letter today, The Speaker of the House said it was both ridiculous and “really sick.”
The President wrote in the missive:
“You are not just after me, as President, you are after the entire Republican Party. You are the ones interfering in America’s election. You are the ones subverting America’s Democracy. You are the ones Obstructing Justice. You are the ones bringing pain and suffering to our Republic for your own selfish personal, political, and partisan gain.”
When asked about Trump’s letter, Pelosi said she had not read the whole thing. She continued, “I’ve seen the essence of it, though, and it’s really sick.”
The letter is likely to do little to stop the Democrats from impeaching the President tomorrow. While Republicans had hoped to spur some moderate lawmakers into voting against the measure, those plans have seemingly failed.
According to a Washington Post analysis, Democrats will have enough votes to impeach Trump.
