On Thanksgiving Day President Trump Feuds With Justice Roberts

As Thanksgiving Day brings millions of families together, President Donald J. Trump is openly feuding with Chief Justice John Roberts.

“Justice Roberts can say what he wants, but the 9th Circuit is a complete & total disaster. It is out of control, has a horrible reputation, is overturned more than any Circuit in the Country, 79%, & is used to get an almost guaranteed result. Judges must not Legislate Security…” the President added.

Trump then tweeted for the umpteenth time about safety at the U.S. border.

Trump’s attacks on the Chief Justice were issued after Roberts made a rare rebuke against Trump’s attacks against the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The 9th Circuit recently ruled that Trump’s administration is required to consider claims of asylum regardless of where migrants cross the U.S. border.

Trump, who has actively worked in install hundreds of conservative judges since taking office, ripped into Justice Jon S Tiger. Trump called him an “Obama judge” and blamed the Ninth, even though Tigar sits on the bench one level below the federal appellate.

Following Trump’s comment, Chief Roberts wrote:

“We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges,” Roberts told the Associated Press Wednesday. “What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them.”

“The independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for,” Roberts added.

Trump was not willing to accept the Justice’s response and tweeted, “Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have ‘Obama judges,’ and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country.”

Trump’s attack arrived shortly after he tweeted a much more level-headed response to the national holiday.

As Trump continues his assault against a sitting Supreme Court Justice, legal battles over troops at the border continue.
