On Day of Impeachment Vote Trump Requests Prayers From Supporters

After months of hearings and arguments, the United States Congress will hold an impeachment vote on Wednesday. Republicans have fought hard against the measure and have pressured Democrats in historically red districts to vote no. That campaign seems to have failed and Democrats are confident they have the vote to push impeachment through.

Donald Trump has long ranted and raved against the impeachment process calling it unfair and claiming that his call with Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelensky was “perfect.” This morning, knowing that the process will likely end badly for him, Trump requested prayers from his Twitter followers.

The President lamented, “Can you believe that I will be impeached today by the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, AND I DID NOTHING WRONG! A terrible Thing. Read the Transcripts. This should never happen to another President again. Say a PRAYER!”

That was just one of many tweets posted by the President in a Wednesday morning tweet storm. He also posted a quote from Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA) who has been a prominent conservative voice during the impeachment process.

Trump wrote, “They just wanted to get at the President. They had no intention of having a proper investigation. They couldn’t find any crimes so they did a vague abuse of power and abuse of Congress, which every administration from the beginning has done.”
