Old Video of Kellyanne Conway Threatening to Perform an Abortion With a Gun Resurfaces
A video of presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway threatening to perform an abortion with a gun resurfaced online this week. Conway, who has long established herself as a pro-life advocate, made the remarks in a speech to the College Republican National Committee in July 2007.
“I always love to say to those gender studies people, if you say ‘abortion’ or ‘stem cells’ or ‘guns’ one more time, I’m going to perform one of those on you because, you know, with a gun, because you, by implication, are suggesting that women can’t do the math,” she said at the time.

The clip resurfaced via Mediaite after Conway falsely accused Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, who has had to field calls for his resignation after it emerged that his medical school yearbook page included photos of men posing in blackface and Ku Klux Klan garb, of supporting infanticide. That is false: Northam supported a bill that would loosen abortion restrictions and states life support “shall be available and utilized if there is any clearly visible evidence of viability.” The measure is not likely to pass the state’s Republican-controlled House.
“And it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities. There may be a fetus that’s nonviable,” Northam said. “So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
