Obama Reportedly Told Donors Trump’s “Kung-Flu Comments Piss Me Off”
It is very rare for a former President to get involved in a Presidential race. Sure, they may give a speech at the National Convention, but don’t normally get too involved. Donald Trump, however, is not letting Barack Obama stay on the sidelines.
The 45th President has frequently criticized the 44th and accused him of treason just last week. On Monday the New York times published a piece which included remarks Obama recently made to Democratic donors. Obama reportedly told them that Trump’s recent Kung-Flu comments, “piss me off.”
The Times quotes Obama as saying, “I don’t want a country in which the president of the United States is actively trying to promote anti-Asian sentiment and thinks it’s funny. I don’t want that. That still shocks and pisses me off.”
During a zoom fundraiser, Obama expressed outrage at Trump's use of "kung flu".

The comments were made during a private fundraising dinner held for Joe Biden last Thursday.
According to a former aide, the 44th President is thinking about how he needs to behave in regards to Trump. “There is no model for my kind of post-presidency,” he said to the aide. “I’m clearly renting space inside the guy’s head.”
The Times article also touches on a phone call the Obama’s made to the family of George Floyd. “I want you to have hope,” he told them. “I want you to know you are not alone. I want you to know that Michelle and I will do anything you want me to do.”
